End june, early july leh-zanskar in TATA Safari! - Team-BHP

Hi,
Planning a follow up trip to leh after my adventure to leh and beyond in my indica last year.
Only this time it would be my Brand new TATA safari ex 2.2 VTT with all the 4x4 might under the hood.
Problem is, despite the 4x4 and the open invitation, no one seems to be ready to come along. Still need to convince a few friends. But this gave me an idea. If the timings match, why not have a little convoy of cars,or better Safaris!
Lets plan something people!
I'm open to any sort of suggestions, combinations. Even the timing can be flexible. If not the rest, atleast the manali leh portion can be done together. We can even ask TATA to cover it in the media. What do u say people?

Mine is a 4x4 Safari too. Im driving to Leh from Mumbai late Sept. Adc is driving from Kolkata too around the same dates. We do plan to meetup and do quite a few sections together. Approx 10 days in the mountains. Do PM me or Adc if you intend to join in. Mind you its tricky weather at that time. Our dates are confirmed and subject to change only by ' acts of God'.
End june to july is peak tourist season i guess.
As for Tata covering it in the media, Il be glad if they just foot the damages.

Hi Abhiknov, Am planning to do Mumbai Leh in my Indica next June/July. Could you please give details of your Indica Leh trip that would assist me in my trip. What special preparations that you had to undertake, any modifications that you did. Would appreciate a detailed report. Thank you.

I would love to drive all the way to Leh. But I am in Madras. That is a long way off.

Same here. Bangalore is too far and I do not want to drive such long distances. But I am looking at other alternatives to go during June or July.
