| Hello, Is NH 222 completed between Ahmednagar & Nanded? I have driven on this NH around Ale phata & between Nanded and Nirmal - the roads were good. But I have heard this stretch between Ahmednagar & Nanded was never taken up/completed. If so, what are the alternate options? Regards |

between a'nagar and nanded, it is still uncomplete and passes through remote area. i will suggest ahmadnagar-ashti-jamkhed-patoda-manjarsumba-kej-ambejogai-parali-gangakhed-loha-nanded. this is bus route for nanded-pune. some times i travel on this route. stretch between a'nagar to manjarsumba is lonely and should be crossed during day time only. | Thanks Ashish. Actually, I am looking at route options between Pune and Nanded. I have done following so far. 1) Via Nagar-Aurangabad-Jalna 2) Via Tembhurni-Latur 3) Via Tembhurni-Ambejogai-Parli 4) Via Nagar-Amalner-Beed-Parli And am looking for new options now! I thought of NH222. But even if 222 is not implemented, do you happen to know the current Nagar-Nanded roads via Pathardi-Parbhani. These all must be state roads? Regards |

| It is just that I like to explore new roads. And there should not be much of a difference in internal roads. In fact, last time I drove via Beed-Nagar, and the direct road from Parli to Beed truned out be good and with very less traffic. Nevertheless, thanks again. Most probably, I am also driving to Nanded on 16th Oct (but via Jamkher). I shall PM you if I happen to happen to drive via Latur. |

1] pune-nh9-indapur-tembhurni-left turn-kurduwadi-barshi-yedshi-latur-ahmadpur-loha nanded. 2] pune-nh9-indapur-tembhurni-left turn-kurduwadi-barshi-kuslamb-left turn-yermala-kalamb-ambajogai-parli-gangakhed-loha-nanded. 3] pune-nagar-nh222-pathrdi-gevrai-onward-parbhani-nanded 4] pune-nagar-jamkhed-manjrsumba-kej-ambajogai-parli-gangkhed-loha-nanded.[ this is route taken by luxury buses form nanded to pune]. I will recommend route no1 via latur as it is most safe. on this route from yavat to tembhurni, there is heavy traffic on 2 lane nh9. kurduwadi to barshi is in worst condition. Nanded is famous for gurudwara.

| as I am reading this old thread .. now I have couple of concerns. 1) Most importantly, is it safe route to drive with family say leaving around 7AM from Pune. 2) Is this route too hassled ( read traffic ) to drive. I assume Pune - Nanded should take around 8 hrs (~ 80kms/hr) Thanks, Navdeep |

1] Yes, it is safe by route no 1. 2] Pune-nanded will take anything between 10 to 12 hours and not less than that.

![]() e.g. Pune-nagar-aurangabad is state highway which is 4 lane with very good surface. Pune-nasik is national highway no 50, pune-solapur is nh9, solapur-chtradurga is NH13 and you know the condition of these highways. ![]() @NH222, its kalyan-vishakapattanam road which is upgraded to status of national highway recently but earth work has not done. stretches of this highway is still at the level of DMR, TMR and village road. The state departments under whose jurisdiction these stretches were earlier stopped to maintain the road as now the responsibility goes to NHAI.
