Well, the good news is they have T Jet's in stock at their yard. They don't need to call for a car from the plant in Pune. I have given the sales chap a heads up that I want a to do a pre delivery inspection of my own. Will have to wait for their call. Besides, the loan application needs to reach the bank which I doubt would have taken place yesterday as it was 3pm. I am looking forward to something happening in the course of the coming week. Fingers crossed till then.

Hello Sandeep.. Congrats man.. T-Jet is one hell of a car when it comes to performance. Best drivers car this side of 10L.

Initially, I was planning to exchange it for an SUV since my family conditions demanded it and one trip to Ooty/Kothagiri changed my mind. Mind blowing performance in ghats and some fun with a T-Fort during the return journey changed my decision completely.. The muted "RX 100" type sound when you redline it -- Oh boy, little pleasures of the world which you cannot afford go. Have myself done a double ton with my beauty (ah..beast) many a times and you must see those other "people movers" vanish in your RVM

You have got the beast and the beauty in itself. T-Jet when pushed shows its true color and bet me, nothing can come close. Period.

Congrats Sandeep! I was a little late to chip in but...

I'm in a similar quandry myself. Rapid vs Optra vs T-Jet. Applaud your decision and wish you miles and miles of motoring bliss.

The way I look at it, if you don't derive atleast a bit of pleasure in what you drive, shud you even bother?

Don't let the bums pull you down mate. T-Jet is the best you can find in Bharatland today and don't let anyone tell you anything to the contrary.

Like GTO said, go for a dinner less every month or something but get back home every time you drive with a big grin plastered across your mug

By the way, on your test drives, did the Jet bottom out on any of our famous breakers?

Cheers,

WL

Congrats Sandeep on your bold decision.
Somehow I could not convince myself to go for FIAT once more in spite of owning a Siena myself.
Just the attitude of the sales/service guys at workshop puts me off, but once a FIATian always will remain one.
The high speed stability is remarkable even at 160kph, brings smiles to your face.

Happy Motoring and Drive safe

Cheers

I won't skimp on food. I love food maan. But yeah, after the meal, it will be a nice satisfying drive back home from the restaurant.

Nope. I had 4 people in the car during one test drive. Nobody was a heavy weight though.

congrats, i am sure you will enjoy the service too.,

the fiat service in pandit auto pune has grown leaps and bounds. i just got my car serviced yesterday.

i was jumping in my pants as i was shocked to see such a good courtesy and perfect resolutions to all my problems, even a minor squeak was resolved.

never got such service ever from maruti or other cars i have owned till date.

they have grown up, and not by small margins, but leaps and bounds.

today i got 2 calls from fiat too regarding the feedback of the service.

great going i must say.

This is a good sign indeed. Gives me a little more hope that I can live with the car with some peace of mind.

I hope the same approach is followed across all dealers and service stations. This will surely improve their customer base.

Congrats sandeepmohan,

Finally you are going to lay hands on a hell of the machine.
Whenever you press the throttle and speed corners, you will definitely praise your buying decision.
Enjoy and Drive Safe

not only this , i have received calls direcly from Fiat Italy too 2 times for the feedback about the car and any changes to be suggested.

apart from ground clearance for indian dabba roads i couldnt find any problem and i informed them about this. not only me there must be 100 more customers who have complained this.

and the implementation over this is 2012 model linea with increased ground clearance with 16" wheels. this will be launched in jan 2012 auto expo.

they are listening hard to the customers.

Amit - Tjet+ already has the highest GC (170 mm) amongst all cars in that segment (and probably above too!). Also, it already comes with 16 inch wheels. So that's not a 2012 addition, but it's been there since the launch in Oct 2010.
