Question What price for Skoda Ambient 2002

Hi Guys

I am planning for a skoda ambient 2002 1.9TDi, i am in bangalore.
I found a skoda of above mentioned make and model. i want to know what could be the approx price if i have to buy it and the car is in good condition.
The history of the car is like this. 1st owner sold the car after 1yr and second owner had kept the car till date. and i would be the 3rd owner if i buy it. this car has run around 58K.

Apart from this, current owners please let me know the experience of owning the disel skoda, and about the Service cost, spares cost and any flaws as such.

Thank you.

Not exactly answering your question but my friend was selling his 2003 elegance for 7.2L. Car was in excellent condition and had done over 1.5lakh kms.

About the maintainance I am sure the current owners on the forum will be able to throw more light on this...
No doubt it would be very expensive...

Should cost you max between 6 - 6.5 depending on the condition, spares and service is quite costly but doesnt matter its hugely compensated by the economical diesel mill!

Well...there arn't any flaws wtih the car. I haven't found a single one wrong. But don't think diesel bills will compensate for the cost of the car. U just have no idea about cost of spares and labour.

It would be helpful if you can explain little about the cost of spares and labour.

I don't really remember the prices, but i'm sure they are bloody expensive. Checkout my thread abt my car's accident two weeks back. U'll notice very lil damage, but the cost for repairing comes close to 20k plus painting and labour.

And i suggest u stay away from a 2002 model cuz those cars must have run a lot, and the suspension, clutch etc might have been screwed up. You won't have engine probs, thats for sure cuz its a very reliable one.

Having said all that, if the spares were cheaper, i simply love my Skoda. Its a brilliant car to drive, it maybe less powerful..but still goes like stink.

HEY....i sold my 2002 elegence for 6.10...it had run for 55,000 kms...so roughly u should pay 6.20 or so for an ambient
the skoda was really a fine car...i still miss it,services were expensive though, spares prices were sky high, but the fe of 19-20 on the highway more than made up for the costs

Ambiente is lower version than Elegance. If diven sold Elegance for 6.1L, you can stick to 6L for an Ambiente. However I guess 6.3-6.5L would be the price in Bangalore for a 2002 Ambiente.

The On The Road prices of cars in Bangalore are much more expensive and so is the resale price. I am not sure you would get anything below 7...
