Default Esteem VXI, 2004, 3.2L...??

Hi guys,

I have a cousin of mine who is looking at a 2004 Exteem VXi going for 3.2L. I am yet to get the entire details but is this price point ok for 2k4 model to begin with??

Will post further details as soon as I have them. Any starting feelers would be great. It is a Mumbai based car.

Cheers
HB

Seems to be a good price, considering that a new one is probably about 5.2/5.3 OTR.

Further details will of course help.

Seems quite steep. Specially in mumbai, from what i have heard resale values are much lesser. Which month in 2004 ? How many owners ? how many kms ? all these have an impact. please let us know.

Hi ppl,

Some more details.
1. It has 22300 kms on odo (!).
2. Owned by a doc and driven personally. Since my cousin has been his tenant for 2 years so he is being offered this deal.
3. He says it has got an ICE worth 43k in it. But he is not exactly an audiophile so he all he says is that it has 6 speakers, 2 woofers(!!) and a Kenwood 3 CD Changer. Not sure what kind of set up this guy has.

Insurance and tax paid up. Will get the exact month of 2004. But is it a worthwhile buy, considering in Mumbai, cars tend to depreciate more vis-a-vis other cities (tendency to rust, right?)

Cheers

Is it a Type-II or a Type-III Esteem? I am asking you this coz the New Esteem(Type-III) which is being sold even today was launched during the same time i.e.Sept-Oct 2004.

i think it is a fairly good bargain considering the ICE.

Hi,

Can you tell how do we differentiate between a Type-II and a Type-III esteem? Anything cosmetic or is it underpinnings?

Cheers
