I bought a FM Transmitter ( USD 50) in US. Power source is cigar light for this. Hook your IPod or Sony MP3 to this transmitter. Set the same FM station on both equipment. This works great.

FM transmitters do work great but the sound quality is nowhere near what you get when connected to an AUX port.

That is a different discussion though.

Has anyone ever tried lpg spirit?
The lower gears felt less powerful even while on petrol.
Any comments?

Default RE: LPG - "spirit trim"

He meant the "Spirit" trim of the Cedia with an LPG option.

To answer the question, No havent tried it as yet. But 1st and 2nd gears do take some bit of getting used to in the Cedia even in the "petrol only" option. So some bit of lag while using LPG would be expected till you work out how best to accelerate.

I was told that the LPG option was being offered only on the Cedia Select Variant!

Is it available on the spirit too?

yeah only cedia select comes in lpg. spirit is purely petrol. I did test drive select lpg, yes power difference is there but it makes up nicely after initial lag.

Default RE: LPG option for Cedia

No you can get the LPG kit fitted onto "Sports" too !!! the dealer says they would retro fit the same kit into other two available trims as well.

But why would you want to do that is another matter!

I saw this on the Blaupunkt website. How much did it cost you?

@Maibaa - Do you need to take out the HU to install the cable or is it like a simple plugin?

Can someone help me find the reason why I feel less space in cedia in comparison to corolla or even city, while the specs are not so much otherwise.
Has someone tried adding the spoiler on spirit?
I am on the verge of finalising cedia spirit without lpg.
I need suggestions on any upgrade or exchange before it is too late.
can Maven pass me the price of the steering remote only?

@whymeonly:

Your impression about space may be due to the lower seating position and narrow rear bench in the Cedia relative to the City. Having compared the Cedia to the City, I can assure you that space is certainly not less, headroom may not be so much better though...

Am not sure about the exact price of the spoiler but think you may be better off spending 30K extra and buying the Sport which apart from the spoiler also has body kit, clear lens tail-lamps, fog lamps, blacked out headlights etc - better VFM I think. Unless of course, you dont prefer the black interiors & seats in the Sport (I went for the Sport so am slightly biased )...

@CBlazer - The plug-in ports are in the back of the HU. So you do need to remove the HU to plug-in the Aux cable. Any good installer might be able do this quickly.

Even I am planning to add an AUX cable to my HU over the weekend. I am hesitant to go to 3rd party ice installers. I have seen how a car gets ripped apart when we got ICE installed in my brothers Getz. I am considering getting this done at the HM dealership itself.
