Hey, I just bought new Cedia Spirit, for 9.3 Lakhs on road at Chennai from ACT. I have been driving it for a month and trust me, its no comparison to any of those City, Fiesta, Elantra, Optra and whatever car in that bracket.
its the class of Civic and COROLLA for much less price. Its fun to drive and safe as well. I am absolutely enjoying driving it around Chennai.
Check out for my new post titled "Cedia, Stayying Ahead of the herd." soon.

Corolla is slightly bigger car. But, City, Well, they have raised the sides, front and rear and reduced the windscreen and window sizes. You have more metal around you compared to Cedia, where you have more windows and wind-screens and henc emore visibility. Thats why you get a 'feeling' of moe space inside. Actually, in a City, if you are on a long drive, you will start feeling suffocating, like you are in a plane. But, in a Cedia, you feel like a convertible, fresh even after hours of driving.
btw, I own a Cedia Spirit for the past one month and I'M LOVIN' IT...

@Raja, congrats on your new car. Where are the pictures?

By the way are you referring to us here who don't own a cedia as herds?

Hey Raja, congrats !!! But if people's budget is less than 9.3 lakhs or they want to buy a diesel? Cedia doesn't satisfy these requirements.

Thanks buddies..
My post is up with some pics already. it has come up with the font/color tags and I am trying to clean it up and post again. I donno if Mods will allow repeat posting. I have tried... Anyways, pics are there to see.
its Red - (French Claret)...

Of course, Cedia is not for those who don't have the budget nor for those looking for diesel. They can very well look for other models...

But, with the petrol version, this is the best value for money...

Hi Mobike008,
I mean by the herd - all the 1.6-1.8 liter "Indianized" cars like City, Fiesta, Logan, SX4, Optra, Elantra etc.., etc.. trying to stand in line with th Cedia and you know who reach the checkered flag first...
Read by new thread and you will find out...

I wish some one can help me locate a spoiler for my yet to be delivered cedia spirit.
I have opted for spirit for the better looks inside and outside (in my opinion) compared to sport.
I am missing the spoiler and the air dams though.

I saw Cedia's in the US fitted with a spoiler similar to our Indian old model Lancer - looked cool... get yourself a sneek preview at your local dealership before you decide (place and see) and THEN buy it aftermarket... guess its 15k OE and 5k aftermarket.

Dealer in Bangalore quotes 42k for OEM spoiler ad 20k for their own supplied. If you must go for it, then Sports is a better choice.

tha would probably be for the full bodykit of the sports and not only the spoiler.

Do below bumper air dams and spoiler actually help in street cars while at high speed? or is just another ad driven fad?

A last minute confusion.

With Honda city vtec plus priced exactly same as cedia spirit that too with now enhancements on vtec, is there some competition revival?
Has vtec finally made up to cedia?

Cedia is a whole segment bigger than the City VTEC - it would be unfair to compare both on just the price points.
