These high tech lock and unlock system coupled with ignition / speed is all well as long as it works well.. But any malfunction, you are struck with locked doors with you in or out as the case might be...
These are in general avoided as a sfety mesaure, but, for those hi-tech-fans, some manufacturers provide 'em. Best thing is mechanical lock and lock by key. Thats why some car makers call it key-less entry system and better used only for entry. Thats my opinion...

Its safe to take 8-10 liters as guess, to plan your refill. i usually go max 50 km. after the light comes up and try filling 42 liters and the needle goes beyond FULL mark.

On a similar note, ABS is high tech too. So any malfunction and you will left with bad brakes .

What ever the tech (ABS or central locking) its up to the manufacturer to deliver a fail-safe system.

Cedia doesn't have this feature and so please don't say it will malfunction if it was present.

Your right. I doubt if any car will have a 15 litre reserve. Whatever the car make ( Sedans) it is safe to assume between 8-10litres. My car fuel warning lights up and within 10kms-15kms i fill up and i get about 39L and my tank capacity is 45L

Thanks everybody out here to let me form an opinion on Cedia spirit.
I got one from Excel motors delhi on 1st.
Drove it all the way to Lucknow (500km).
Got fog lights added at 6k from lajpat nagar but the light is poor.
I drove all the way at 120 and the average was 11.98 liter on next tank fill.
HU is without bluetooth, only compatible, and needs some thing extra.
Feeling good driving this.
Should i change oil at 1000km ?

It has 6.5" coax speakers in both places. The stock speakers are surprisingly quite okay. Check them out before buying something all new.

->ROC,
I feel somehow the stock speakers largely lack bass and hi-frequency outputs.
I have always used stock speakers in Toyotas and Mitsubishis in the gulf and they were extremely responsive in low and hi frequencies. But, these "Mitsubishi speakers' seem to be inadequate for the system that is driving it...

Not sure but I feel they are quite balanced. They are neither boomy nor bright... two characteristics I hate about speakers.

Contact Flying Bong as he has a Cedia, recently ICEd up by Gunbir et al. Or you can check his thread in the ICE section for clarifications

I felt that too.. too balanced and delivers all frequencies without much distortion.
But when car is running, it generates lots of low frequency noises and hence you need that extra power for bass in car-audio. (which is lacking in these speakers) And may be thats why most people add powered sub-woofer in India...

Any idea if there is someplace where you can pick up better plastic bits for the ac controls for the cedia?

Hi RajaTauras,

I also felt the same. Is it a good idea to upgrade just the speakers.. to some blaupunkt speakers for better compatability. It is dissappointing that they have given blaupunkt HU with Mitsu speakers.
