Is Lancer2008 coming to India...??? - Team-BHP

BHPians,

I heard from one of my friends that the Lancer 2008 is going to be here in India by 2008... I dont know how genuine news is that...

Does anybody have any update on this...

I am currently planning to sell my Ikon 1.6 for Palio Stile 1.6... If Lancer 2008 is going to be launched then i am planning to wait for that...

Please help!

Yup... seemingly it might come to india in late 2008. Expect the standard Hindustan Motors detuning though and a price tag of 12-13 lacs.

My mitsu dealer has confirmed this.

He said that the lancer 1.5 will sell for a total of 10 years in India. Cedia will replace lancer 1.5 and the 2008 lancer will replace Cedia.

Again Lancer to replace Cedia? In the ME Cedia (in India) is sold as Lancers.

Cedia is the older gen lancer. What he meant was that the older gen lancer 1.5 will be replaced by probably a slightly stripped down Cedia. The new 2008 Lancer will replace the Cedia.

The 3 CEDIA models are presently available in Delhi for 8.0 L, 8.3 L & 8.6 L ex-showroom price, after the 30K discount being offered by the dealership
