| Hi all, I'm planning to buy my very first own car. So, need your help in making a choice. Cars short listed - Swift VDi, Verna CRDi VGT, City GXi, Aveo 1.4 LS Price range - Less than 7.5 lakhs Maintenance & After Sales Service (A.S.S.) expectations - Should be economical and good. Average distance traveled per month - Around 2000 kms Where car will be mostly used (city / highway / rough roads etc) - Mostly within Delhi or Delhi-Gurgaon expressway. Chauffer driven / self driven - Self-driven Whether the vehicle will be shared by other members of family - Yes. My father will be using it as well. Any specific requirements from car (ex. Better luggage space, responsive engine, rear seat comfort) - Want a car that is fun to drive, is comfortable, and economical w.r.t. running expenses How long you intend on keeping this car (and how important resale is to you) - Around 5 years. Yes, resale value is an important aspect. Thanks ![]() |

| i think you distance travelled warrants for a diesel. swift vdi and the verna crdi vgt are the best in their segment. choose either depending on your need for a boot. |

| Senior - BHPian | if you want a diesel car witha boot i would suggest fiesta i wouldn't rite now go in for a verna after reading about the quality issues if you don't want a boot you could get the swift vdi(but you will have to wait from 4-8months depending on the dealer and if you want to go in for a petrol car give a look to sx4 and city gxi and the fait adventure @swathyd i think after looking at the swift sx4 verna and city he would be impressed by the logan at this price atleast i wasn't |

| I think you can go for the ford fiesta as they are giving an irrestible offer free this month which includes roof window, leather seats, alloy wheels, rear spoiler, mp3 player etc. Its an decent car with space for five along with an boot for long drive with nice engine. |
