Default 5-6 L budget

I have been going through the various threads and postings over here for the past 3days and to tell you the truth it has me confused as anything and I am no closer to finalizing the set of wheels.
I have just sold off my ZenLX 2000 and have a Scorpio SLX 2007 in the family. My primary requirements are:
1. Space
2. FE
3. Driveablity .
I generally go for long drives Del-Shimla about every 2 months. Have driven on very long drives in the hills for my camping trips.
Choices shortlisted by me are/were-
1. FIAT petra 1.9 D but m told its discontinued
2. Marina LX DICOR, will take a test drive tomorrow
3. Bolero, but 2 jeeps in the same family is having its own detractors
4. Indigo, but i feel Marina looks better n is more practical for my needs.
Please help, any other option that i might be missing is also welcome, loved the GURKHA thread but am sure wifey will turn me out if I buy it

U can also consider Ford Fusion TDCI....newly released. Only if the A.S.S service is good in your city.

Right now I am in Delhi so dont think service will be a problem, but might get posted out to soem place where this might be a major issue hence trying to avoid FORD. Also l have heard that TATA is looking to rework the dicor...whats the time frame and should I postpone buying till then ?

With TATA's there is usually no timeframe, they dont reveal their launch dates as a policy. They launch when its ready to be launched

The Indigo or the Marina with a Dicor is the best bet. Great FE, Good Engine, VFM altough you did'nt mention price as a ruling factor but i presume everyone looks for VFM With your kind of demands from a car the Tata is best suited. The rest is up to you and the family of course.

IMHO the logan is very overrated. It is good in some areas over the Indigo but over all the Indigo scores. Especially on the price front. Cant beat that in a country likw ours. It gives you the bang for your buck like no other.

I did test drive the LOGAN but somehow was not very impressed. Moreover its looks very utiliarian. Also I am not very sure of its width allowing me to take it around a lot of places in Himachal and ofcourse its yet to be tested so I think ill stick to the tested MARINA.

with you guys that marina is VFM. Thank you very much for your valuable suggestions. Now can you suggest what mods can i do on it to make it look slightly more sporty? Also If I am allowed I would paste pics of the car alongwith a detailed review as as i lay mt hands on it around 1st Aug or so.
Team bhp mods help me out with this and tell me where can i do so. If i cannot do so can i send it to one of you and you can do the necessary postings then?
