| Senior - BHPian | Hey guys, I'm plannin to get a new car as i'm selling my Swift and have zeroed in on these two models...the Mitsubishi Cedia and the Honda Civic(old one) What i had in mind was gettin a 2nd hand Cedia and souping it up like with the usual exhaust, port+polish etc etc when someone told me to get a Civic for a very less price and then do a engine transplant and get 180bhp... So now its all too confusing.. So can u guys help me out... And i need the car to be reliable for daily use as well.. Thanks in advance

| Senior - BHPian | Look around for one of the older civics. Put in a B16 or a B18 and you are good to go. Will be VFM too if you could get a car under 4L and spend another 3 for the engine transplant. TCing a cedia too looks very interesting. You have a handler that can move as well. It all depends on your budget and your patience.

| BHPian | Dont Civic and Cedia have completely different underpinnings? Cedia is a proven handler, but the older Civics that you get here are too long and very sedan for any serious stuff. I havent driven either, so this is all hearsay.

| Distinguished - BHPian ![]() | Yup I agree with GTO. Civic will be difficult to find. Your options are City with the engine swap like Ford_rocam's, Cedia but difficult to find or another good option is the lancer with the MIVEC like sideways.

| Senior - BHPian | I need to kep everything under 6.5lakhs.. I guess there is a Lancer Mivec for anrd 7lakhs but its a bit overboard. I heard there is a done up Civic in Blore for about 3lakhs. And later i could plonk a D16 in it...

| Senior - BHPian | Ohc in reasonably good shape: 3L Custom paint, wheels, tyres, Kit:1L tops Audio i beleive you already have. B16A: 1.5L B16b: 2L B18C5: 2.5 L You can have your ideal car well within 6.5 L, and you could add some seats, neons and all that jazz with the left over change too!!! manson.
