Well i dunno about the Cielo, but the last time a Nexia was tested, it hit 40kmph in 2.76 secs, 60kmph in 5.16 secs and 100kmph in 13.84 secs.

It came to a halt from 100kmph in 4.16 secs covering a distance of 53.96 meters.

In those days back in 2001, the Nexia with a 0-100-0 time of 18.00 secs outperformed the
1. Mitsubishi Lancer (18.09)
2. Opel Corsa 1.6 (18.33)
3. Ford Ikon 1.6 (18.70)
4. Hyundai Accent 1.5 (19.70) and the...
5. Opel Astra 1.6 (20.03) in a straight line 0-100-0 drag.

Avoid it...since daewoo has shut shop, spares may be a problem...and resale will be next to nothing...the car isnt very bad though...
My say is buy something that still is in production.

I know people who have Cielos who don't seem to be complaining about it. They're pretty happy with it, except that FE is nothing to boast about.

as lambo said....the resale will only go down marginally....if u have access to a good mechanic, i dont think it should be a major issue....spares aren't too much of an issue....but thats now!!!

8kmpl Vs. 10 kmpl (segment average) means that you are shelling out 25% more....thats about it!!! consider the interest on the balance of the cash you'd shell out when u enter the c segment (even if u buy pre-owned)!!!

1.5 may be a tad high....you could get cars cheaper! you might want to look at the nexia over the cielo though...

Cool holla

dude

my friend has a cielo excellent vehicle to drive a very good car at a low prive so

1. i think 1.5L is way expensive

2. spares are available but will surely cost you on the higher side so i wud personally suggest a check on spare part prices in comparison
to other cars from same category

3. what you cud always do is get it converted to LPG coz even if it gives you same avg then the price of LPG compared to petrol is cheaper

ill let you know if there are other things that are possible

regards

Recently i had seen an ad in a local newspaper about a modified cielo/nexia. The person claims to have replaced the engine with a Toyota Diesel engine (I am not sure, but assuming that its a Qualis engine) and says that the vehicle gives superb performance as well as average..

I haven't personally seen the vehicle as yet, but did talk to him over the phone..

however, there is a drop in the performance with LPG....roughly 10-15%

if u really want to change the engine....buy two cielos.....get a V job done....i could go on ....

Well, i think the Nexia produces around 94 bhp. It's powerful enuf to compete with the other contenders in it's class.

I dunno how good it is for modifications though.
