Default Best Sedan in 5-6 lakh category?

Hi,
I am 6'2" tall guy.And my budget for a new car is 5-6 lakh.
I don't like small cars like 800/santro etc etc or any second hand car.
So would like to go definitely for new Midsize car like esteem/ikon/indigo or accent...
now my question is ...what is the best choice in that budget.pls let me know ur opinions which can make my decision easier.
Thanks a lot.

I'm 6'2" too and between the esteem, ikon, indigo and the accent, i found the Indigo to have the best seating position. For once, my legs weren't touching the steering.

In the handling dept, the Ikon rules. It has the ability to make those skinny tyres feel broader.

The Esteem , i feel is outdated in everyway. It's a spirited car but not the best choice these days.

As for the Accent, it has a bit of everything (except handling). Hate the way it accelerates, shifts were smooth but moving into 2nd, 3rd and reverse can be a task since the gear lever moves quite a distance.

But a good set of tyres can improve it's lateral grip drastically (i know that from driving Rehaan's car).

For performace and ease of drive :
Ikon
Esteem

For space :
Indigo

For a practicality :
Hyundai Accent

u shuld definetely go for the baleno dude...LXi shuld fit in slightly more than 6 lakhs...but the OE accessories in VXi far outweigh the price difference. If u could stretch the budget by 40K u'll be happy with the investment.

In my opinion the Petra comes out tops if you are looking at the overall package. I am 5'11'' by the way. The Baleno is a good car but a tad too 'big'. And in my opinion it is overpriced too.

If you prefer Fords then pick up the Anniversary edition Flair. It comes loaded and for around 5.5 - 5.7 On road in Mumbai. The new Baleno (EIII) will work out closer to 6.2. The Petra is 5.06 on road.

If you want to drive an MUV, then I think the Innova is the best.

The Corsa is a decent car, but I found it too cramped. Also the spares are said to be expensive.
