IMO,Manual is very pleasurable to drive.
AT is like driving a Toy Car.
If you are an enthusiastic Driver you won't love to drive AT cars.
DSG is very good to drive in City but the FE is 2Kmpl lesser than MT.
Check the Attached Road Test Data of AutoCar.

ESK,
Thanks.
It might be too early to declare anything (I have been owning this car since 2nd Sep...) and in honeymoon with it right now...
So far I'm pretty happy. Yesterday took the car on long drive clocked about 300km in a day and it was a breeze!
I'll be posting my experience in detail in the other thread... (The Red Laura!)

Karthik, in Vinayaka Bangalore, I was originally offered:
- 15k corporate cash discount
- Sunfilm
- Mud flaps
- Matting

After quite a bit of bargain, I did manage following:
- Stanely leather upholstry (Satin grade) --> This included door trim and stearing wheel cover as well.
- Mud flap
- Matting

I thought of getting sunfilm from JC Road, BLR, costed me 3.5k. On the other hand, stanley woudl have costed 36k.
Though, matting was not of a great quality (not the PVC type), so had to get additional matting, that costed 1.1k

Hi Kartik,

i have not booked the car yet. I will do some bargaining. I am yet to decide on the model ( L&K or Ambiente). There is also a temptation to look at Altis. I will be doing a TD in the new few days (of Altis). Will decide after that.

Congrats ESK. It would be a good idea to write a post about how you arrived at this choice for the benefit of other members.

get it done directly from stanley.

BTW, do not forget this invaluable advice:

ESK,
Congratulations! and Join the band wagon of LOC!! (Laura Owners Club)... Thanks to Androdev.

See below link for the Stanely pricing I have got in BLR.
http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/test-d...tml#post948626 (Laura Ambiente - Red, delivered yesterday)

It is better to get it done directly from Stanley Boutique.
One caution though. While removing the OEM seat cover, they will have to remove all the knobs (tilt adjustment and lumbar support), please make sure these knobs are removed with caution, else there is a chance of these getting broken.
This happened on my car, but since it was Dealer getting the upholstery done for me, he had to replace it at their cost.

Hey Congrats,
When will you get the car.
My car is on the way to chennai.
probably i'll get it by Friday.
Silver color is nice to see.
i too keen on silver color but the interior is in black color so i changed my mind to Cappchino Biege which has Biege interior.

Hey! congrats on your car.cheers:

I currently own a Octavia L&K for 3 years(planning to upgrade it to the laura L&K in the coming week) bought it from Gurudev motors, all i can say is that you don't have to worry about the A.S.S. from Gurudev as it is very good, only thing is that parts will be on the expensive side and the service center is near Annanagar (good if you stay near there, bad for me as i stay on ECR)

i would get the car in the next 2 days. It seems it is readily available !! I was bit surprised. But he said these colour move out quick, so they keep stock. Hope he does not sell me an old vehicle !

You are right. The interiors are bit dark. i am thinking of upgrading to leather later ( after an year or so) with somem bright coloured seats atleast.
