How important is the FE to you? And how many years are intend to keep the car? How much you use daily/monthly? A lot will depend on these factors.

ANHC gives a good FE and the reasale value will be better than Fiesta. But Fiesta is a drivers delight. It has all the safety features and is very sturdy in the long drives minus the FE and resale value.

If I was in your position, I would have picked up Fiesta...

Jerish, you've been trying to make up your mind for a long time, i suppose. More and more options are just going to confuse you further.

You appear to have taken a liking to the Fiesta S, go ahead and buy it if you cant wait long enough for the ANHC.

FE is important, but how much will be thedifference ? May be 2kml.
I can wait for ANHC that is not a problem. But i want to know why should i pay more for the ANHC?
Yes i like Fiesta S,and is it something i can go for ANHC other than a powerful engine.
Apperance of ANHC is beautiful and inside space is more than Fiesta S.
I will keep the car more than 4 years. In the city i will drive around 30kms daily may be less.Resale value is not a problem.

Default service

Ford has more goodies on it, Honda has quality behind it. They are so close that for me it might come down to the service departments. Which dealer in your opinion is more likely to stand behind the warranty and which is going to give you better service. Frankly, I would opt for the Honda quality and service. You can add things later, CD player etc.

I feel ANHC is a segment higher and if you can afford the extra cost, you get a car which is much more spacious (especially at the rear bench) and powerful.
But I also have developed a perception that Honda cars are little delicate. I am not sure how much they are able to improvise the EPS in ANHC. I just disliked the EPS on the NHC I had owned.

Jerry, I too have been debating on the same topic, a few calculations below.

ANHC 1.5S-MT OTR Pune: 9,42,375
Fiesta 1.6S OTR Pune: 8,22,371

Difference in price for ANHC: 1,20,004

Average monthly mileage Km: 1000

Average city mileage Fiesta (Km/l): 10
Speculative city mileage ANHC (Km/l): 12

Monthly fuel cost Fiesta (Rs. 58.94/L): 5894
Monthly fuel cost Honda (Rs. 58.94/L): 4912
Yearly Savings in Fuel: 11,788

Considering you keep the vehicle for 5 years the fuel saving with ANHC would be Rs. 58,940, if you go for the ANHC you are still spending and extra amount of Rs. 61064 + Interest component of loan on Rs. 1,20,000 (not sure how much the interest component would be, maybe someone can help on this one)

Other points to be considered
1. Higher interest component for the additional 1,20,000 for the ANHC
2. Maintenance costs for Fiesta / ANHC
3. Higher resale value for ANHC

The Fiesta 1.6S seems a juicier option but I have been unable to make up my mind on the Fiesta 1.6S since I intend to keep the vehicle for approx 3 - 4 years and not too sure of the Fiesta's resale value.
I'd also like to wait for the Linea and check it out (Just incase it launches in November, if FIAT does postpone the launch again I'll drop the option like a hot potato)

Ford Fiesta has proven itself to be a driver's car.

Forget the addons you get with the ANHC, if it handles better than the Ford get it. IMHO, the launch of the Honda should help one get better deals from Ford.

What I recommend : Wait for detailed reviews on the ANHC, its performance and efficiency. Its too early to pass judgment.

Is that for the ANHC Jerry ? The guys are exploiting people by demanding a 1Lac fee for booking in Pune, plus a cancellation charge if you decide to change your mind. What's the booking amount in trivandrum ?

I just went to the Ford dealer and took a TD of the Fiesta 1.6S and was really impressed with it.
The un-discounted OTR of the vehicle works out to be 8,25,460, with the corporate discount figured in the discounted OTR works out to be 7,66,000/-. That seems to be an awesome deal.
If I also compare it to the ANHC, the ANHC S-MT comes to around 9,42,000/- (no discounts at the moment since it's a new model) an approximate increase of 1,76,000 compared to the Ford 1.6S, you then have to consider the interest component for the additional amount and the extra amount you pay for the ANHC is easily more than 2Lac.
I'm wondering if it's worth the extra money, the one place it may have an edge on the Fiesta 1.6S is when it comes to mileage and resale value, but how much extra might you get with the ANHC ? maybe 2 - 3 Km, even with that increase you still would end up spending more.

Does anyone has a concrete figure for the Fiesta 1.6S city mileage ? The dealer claimed 11-12kmpl in city, but I doubt it.
