Finally got to drive the Vista last weekend. The car is simply superb. The quality is miles ahead of the previous Indica. No rattles in the cabin and the engine is not as louder as my Palio 1.9 D. The interior feel is good though i felt the dashboard material is prone to getting dirty very fast. The power is amazing. There is loads and loads of space inside.
A few things i didn't like.
Center console needs some getting used to.
Trunk is very tiny even for a hatchback.
The blue lighting for the clock, odometer, trip meter and stereo is hardly readable in daylight. The protective plastic cover is still present. That could be a reason.
The volume on the stereo is very low. I had to set it to above half mark. The speaker quality is worse.
The AC is not chilling. May be this is an issue that can be fixed during the service.
The paint quality is not yet there. I could see the marks of black paint flow down the roof behind the rear hatch door.
The mileage after 1200 KMS is 13+ KMPL.
They could have thrown in airbags/ABS, remote for that price.

I own a Vista for a month now. Before buying Vista I drove Ikon a lot which was owned by friend. At that time I was happy with IKon.
But after one month of Vista driving, yesterday I got a chance to drive Ford Ikon for whole day. I can tell you how uncomfortable it was after getting habit of high seating in Vista. And I got more reasons to cheer my Vista purchase.
I was on Konkan trip in Ikon yesterday which is west coast hilly area. I could rate Vista in all aspects including ergonomics, handling, suspension.
I would suggest Vista for you. Only advantage Ikon has is its boot and sedan class.
Otherwise Vista rules everywhere.
