Linea (P) gives around 10 kmpl in city BTW. I feel its decent for a sedan.
I think we are discussing the Verna & the City anot not Linea.

The Verna petrol developing 102bhp @ 5500 rpm from a 1600 engine is not so good. This looks even worse when you consider the engine is VTVT. Even worse when you compare with the Diesel which is 110 bhp @4000rpm.

I hear that most folk get about 11-12kpl about town from the City. Honda motors are known to be some of the smoothest. The City Mk.II in my view was an aberration.

Hyundai is launching the new Verna Transform pertol with a better engine which delivers 112 bhp. It is also launching the diesel version with the same good diesel engine just tweaked a bit to get 2 bhp more at 112 bhp again. It is scheduled for August 09 or September 09.

Hope they offer better tyres (15") and airbags on the new versions.

With great power comes great responsibility ...
