Hey the car is an April 2009 car. So less than 3 months standing. Which is not bad for a model which sells less than a hundred numbers a month.

As for the mirror, can you point me to it. I can't see that in the pictures mate.

Congratulations frank. Fiesta 1.6S is a great car. I seem to be in love with it. And it is looking stunning in that color.

heya frank!! one word, 'BEAUTY'!! congratulations pal!!

btw, how did you manage to decode your VIN? Shaju & I tried a couple of decoder's but none of them seemed to work. The only difference i can see from your's and Shaju's (from the picture posted on his thread) is the letter A (indicates Month of manufacture) as against the 'P' on yours.

Congrats Frank! The S exudes oomph and grace equally! Excellent choice - I love the white.. Give me a call whenever you take it to college!

BTW: What size speakers do the front doors accomodate as stock?

Made an interesting and useful discovery while looking for a vin decoder for my Fiesta.
This one actually works. Use the table on this website, alongwith the built in decoder to get an idea of which year.

Umm... Frank, why does your car sport an Autocar label on the glass buddy? You know what I am thinking, right? Check this one out ASAP. You do not want a car which was assigned to a journo from an automotive magazine as a mid-term loaner. Though chances are rare for them making such a goof-up (of leaving such a tell tale mark) and hence its probably something else but its still worth checking out.

That's specifically the reason why I took a photo of that sticker. Called up Dippy too when I saw this. I think this sticker, and the other subsequent stickers on the car were put at the warehouse. The Autocar sticker looks like an endorsement from Ford. I am still bamboozled by it.. They would surely remove this sticker if they wanted me not to see it.. But the odo showed 18 km. I am quite sure the car I saw was brand new, but yea, still worried about that sticker.

Edit: ford india and Autocar have paired up even before, to promote ford for their max mileage diesel promotion. Looks like Autocar decided to get some publicity in exchange and managed to get a place on the sticker. The roots between ford and Autocar go deep. So I think that explains the sticker. Also, I think the Autocar stickers are much larger. So this is a ford sticker from the factory that endorses Autocar. Yea, that seems like an explanation fair enough

The alliance between ford india and Autocar was strengthened when they were jointly entered in the Limca book of records for max mileage. More of a reason why Autocar can figure on the sticker. Also, Autocar may have voted the s as the best drivers car etc etc, even that could be why the sticker has Autocar on it.. Phew zappo! I'm sleepy now :-)
