I would not pay anything more than 4 lacs for the '03 Corolla.

Remember it's a 7 year old car and its been parked for way too long. 7 year old cars tyres need to be changed as its rubber and can't stay there forever even if unused. Seats ( if Leather ) start getting ' cracks ' if not used for long. So an unused car is not always the best thing.

4 Lacs is a good price and trust me he will be happy to sell it to you at that price.

Ok the update is that, he is quoting 6lacs for the corolla which i believe is a ludicrous amount to pay for a 7 year old car. So i have quoted 4.3 to him lets see if it works out otherwise i'll just look around for a new hatch

IMO for 6 lacs, you can get a 2007. Your best bet would be to look for another car if he doesn't get back to you. 6 lacs for a 2003 corolla is way too much.

Hi Ishaan,

Don't even bother. You will get far better deals outside. 6 L is way too much.

Agree with guys; The 2003 Corolla was anyway sans ABS.It might sound silly, but Corolla ka Zamana Gaya.It is Altis which one must target now- after two years.

Not to discourage you Ishan, but a new DZire with teh spanking new 1.2 KSeries would be as good an option as this.

Congrats on that pristine conditioned H1. I was always loved this car. Neat lines and pretty quick on its feet.

Some interior pictures please and also what was the final price you paid for it?

@Ashish: Even I am looking for one for my parents ( we talked about it once a while back, if you remember). The Optra guy is not selling and the Petra I was eyeing is gone. I am also getting inclined towards an OHC or a Corolla. Let me know if you had another prospective car while searching. Around 4 Lakhs would be my limit.

Thanks to all who supported and special thanks to Vasudeva, Varun & Ishaan for pushing me towards Toyota, I owe you one guys. Initially I was inclined to Honda Civic, but somehow this deal struck on and I was kinda tied up to get it halfheartedly. But now I am very happy with my decision thanking my stars to get such a great deal.

I am in Love with my T-Horse
That's a neat looking corolla. Congratulations on your purchase.

This clears my mind and going ahead with getting used lux sedan. I was going through threads to see the comparison in used sedans and reviews from people who bought it. Yes i am driving a new Punto MJD emotion pk and want to get used lux sedan.

1) My fiance wants a car with a** (thats exactly what she said)
2) I would love to upgrade to a lux sedan
3) EMI for punto is high as i took for 3 years and so i want to buy a sedan for 5 to 6 lacs and live a happy life without EMIs
4) Going through the prices for Accord/Corolla/Elantra/Civic/Altis got me soo excited about getting them
5) These are the cars i dreamt about driving

So yes, your new acquire just excited me a bit more. i will starting my search by august this year and buy it by january.

Budget: 6 lacs
Cars: Best used sedan or SUV for that price.
AT/MT? I prefer MT but fiance wants AT
year: 2005 to 2010

Suggestions welcome

Default Urgent Advice needed - 2007 Corolla Price to pay

Hello, I have been in the market for a good used car (GTO style lateral upgrade). I found a June 2007 Corolla H3 1.8 G (Auto transmission) with just 21,000 kms on the ODO - looks very well maintained and clean (except for a few minor scratches). Upgrades are Corolla original leather interiors, reverse parking sensor. What is a good price to pay? Owner is asking 8 lakhs.

JLN - Don't know if you already bought the car, the query seems unanswered for you, the right price would have been about 6.5L for a car in good conditions and with just a few scratches.
