Why don't you simply put up a poll rather than everyone listing their choice for your car? But you didn't mention your priority distribution like if performance is primary, it's ANHC and if A.S.S. is a big consideration, it's SX4 etc.

I completely agree with this. Better go for a poll.

Anyway my choice would be ANHC.

My choice would be ANHC.It provides almost everything you expect from a car.Honda's service is also good. From my experience Maruthi's service is not as good as Honda's.

As you said price is not the issue and you will get higher version, Just my one cent, have a look of ANHC Automatic as well, You will just love the performance and refinement, and if I am correct than another reason to choose over SX4 which has got 4gear autobox against ANHC's 5 gear.

The Paddle shifters in ANHC are just too great, have a TD of both and you will feel the difference, ANHC automatic is from another planet.

If price is not a consideration, go in for the top end ANHC with Automatic Transmission.

Just check what kind of terrains you would mostly driving and link it to the GC and suspension. I guess Mumbai roads and speed breakers are better off than the dreaded Bangalore ones. If that is not an issue, ANHC it is.

Also Suzuki has just introduced AT versions, while Honda has quite some experience in making AT versions.

SX4 for:
  1. Extensive and reliable maruti ***
  2. Higher GC
  3. Responsiveness to the pedal
  4. Creature comforts
  5. Good control

If you can afford it then go for the ANHC . Its any day a better car than SX4. SX4 back seats are bumpy and you would tend to sway more than in a city on highway bends ( Personal experience )

My 2 cents:

If you are in the front seat and won't be having anyone in the back seat - ANHC. ANHC drives way better than the SX4.

If you are in the back seat and mind the ride - SX4 all the way. SX4 ride quality is miles ahead of ANHC. (having driven in back seat of both the cars). AC in Sx4 is also far better.

Thank you all for the suggestions.

We (read family) have decided to take the ANHC.

Color has been shortlisted from the available 6 to 2 (Black & White).

Since we would be taking in excess of 10 cars from Honda, I have asked the dealers to give some good number of accessories (Will give the list soon).

Will keep you updated.

Hi,

As mentioned in the previous post, I am posting a list of accessories that I have proposed as Free accessory needed and a Wish List, for which I may pay at a discounted rate.

Hi All,

Need some clarification wrt the Honda City.

1. Is the steering mounted controls illuminated?
2. Are the Power Window buttons on the Doors Illuminated?
3. Are there A/C slots below the fron seats. (As per the figure and the description given in the following page - which says there are under seat ducts for the rear passenger.)?
(:: Honda City ::)

Can anyone explain me the above description by Honda. Is it a mistake on their website or some other kind of vent?

Dad's Company has taken quotations from some dealers and finance companies. 2 finance companies (Some JMD & Kotak) are offering huge discounts, to the tune of 90000 per car and Interest rate of 2.5-3% (the number of cars are around 20-25).

The other companies are offering discounts worth 50000 and an interest rate of around 8-10%, is there a catch anywhere?

I am afraid they might give a year old manufactured cars or some damaged cars. Can this happen?

How to recognize the month and year of manufacture. the VIN number only gives the year of manufacture. Also is there any way, once can change the VIN number of a car?

Note from MOD : Heman, this is your second thread on the same purchase. Now that you've decided on the car, information on the loans / deciphering manufacturing date etc. are well covered on the forum. Kindly search. This thread = closed
