Default Vehicle Name and Effects

Hi All,

Was just browsing through various forums and sites, a question crept up and thought would be worthy of asking you too..

How much does the name affect your purchase while buying a 2w/3w/4w?
Or after you have actually bitten the bullet and bought it?

I seriously could not believe the Skoda wanted to call the Octavia facelift "Laura". I don't think necessary to explain what it translates in our national language. Sorry if that offends Laura owners

I own an Octavia here in the UK too, so technically I am a "Laura" owner too

And then I read that VW has come up with a MPV concept called as "Bulli". I am speechless.

Would I want to be seen riding a "Slingshot"????

Or what if ask if a lady salesgirl at a HeroHonda offers to sell "Pleasure"

Would nice to hear your views on this.

Gandhar.

MODS: I couldn't find a place suitable for this thread. Please move it appropriately, if there is a more appropriate place for this one.

Hi Mitrajdeep,

I know about the vehicle.
I was talking about the names that these vehicles have which have a corny meaning in some other language.

Btw, the pic you have attached is not a "Bulli" concept.
