Guys, I heard that Metallica's going to perform in Bangalore in October. I will definitely be there. What about you? Shall all T-bhpians attend the concert together? Your views and plans. Let's rock!

Edit: They perform on October 28 in Gurgaon and then on October 30, Bangalore.

Well, rumours are abound that they are going to be in India around that time to perform at the Indian GP too! Link to thread ([RUMOR] Metallica to play at the Indian GP). Great news for all rock & metal fans.

These aren't rumors. It is supposed to be an inaguration of the GP of sorts. Although, I wonder if both events will coincide. However, that's what Metallica says. The dates and venue are up on Metallica's homepage. I won't be surprised if the dates are postponed, though. As of now October 28, Gurgaon (Sector 29, Leisure Valley), October 30, Bangalore (Palace Grounds).

Tickets were supposed to be sold from 'early June,' as quoted in their website. Apart from event partners that sell in certain outlets, am sure BookMyTickets, or someone similar will sell them online. Tickets should start from around Rs. 1,200. Anyhow, how does it even matter. I am not sure about the prices. At this point you can only reserve your tickets. Expect the prices to be upwards of 1,200.

A bit of googling and it turns out that ticket sale is already open. DNA Network and ticket genie will sell the tickets.

Heard from a journo friend that the tickets are expected to cost ~2.7K. Not sure how true this is.
