I hope TEAM_BHP will quickly offer B.D. a new site name in case TATA is really or potentially more inclined to frown on public comments from its employees. There also might be some litigious concerns from sleepy ole M&M, whose legal department may be awake and sensitive to the comments of an ex-big shot. An offer of anonymity may keep B.D. in the Team-BHP family.

That is a very good suggestion. Perhaps all old posts can be changed to a profile called Tharman

We'll have better luck in disguising a tiger as a house cat.

Behram has such a unique posting style, no anonymous ID will hide it. But I doubt a seasoned professional like Behram will say anything that will fall afoul with the policies of either Tata or M&M. It is usually the younger ones who talk without regards to the NDA.

Frankly speaking, 99.99% concerned people are unaware that such a website exists and what is being discussed where (unless you specifically point them to the link). Even after sharing links some are least bothered .

Why do you think I post more during office hours?

It's up to Behram, of course. Styles? Yeah, but I think a switch to something other than "DHABHAR, BEHRAM" might be a little less obvious to Tommy Tata or Mikey Mahindra and the casual observer. DirtyDan is my real name and I greatly regret using it on this site. I get spammed like you wouldn't believe.

Please read my post above and you will understand.

To answer you- I have tested SFRA, IFS, Rack and Pinion Power Steering; trust that helps?

Spikey: What tests do you do on SFRA? When does it fail?

IFS - well..What tests? Results? If you could share

R&P steering system - What tests does you do for the Power R&P system?

I am interested in the above to have a better understanding of the manufacturers testing.

Thanks in advance

OT- Tests for SFRA is same as any other axle, test criteria , scope depends on the application to be used, then a DVP (Design Verification Plan) for testing is made. Basically the tests are categorized into 2 categories- Performance tests, Durability tests. All these 3 systems have umpteen number of tests depending on the nature of change. After all this objective evaluation, there is a Subjective evaluation (simulating things to Real world usage pattern / Media, journalist reviews etc).

I will have to compose an elaborate write-up on this, will do that soon. Be patient.

I will be reading this with great interest. I left a lucrative position in an I.T. shop partly because they lost their way, changed policy, and stopped rigorous testing (to my standards, anyway.)

Clever testing can be a tremendous asset to a technical application. Samurai will probably concur, sometimes in computer programming you often kind of feel around in the dark via testing even in development to get a solution rather than just flat out writing code. Testing can be snazzy, IMHO.

Incidentally, I am told BD Sir in his new position has moved to the highest position in Vehicle Testing of the group, not sure which group it is.
