Default Buying & Learning the Violin

I am interested in learning Violin. I dont know abcd of music.. whats the good way to start?.. and also, whow much a decent violin would cost..
Are there any online tutorials available?

For online anything : Google....sorry dceite but I dont know anythg about violins (I am a novice guitar player myself though).

Hi dceite: There is this thread which I think Abhay himself started about where he could buy a guitar and learn from. In one of the posts there I mentioned the name of this place called "parikrama school of music" in hauz kauz village. I have also provided the number of the lady who runs the place. I think they teach the violin too. They would be the best bet.
Anyway, I will find out from my musician friends there if they know anyone good. Can you tell me where you stay. I'll see if I can find someone in that area.
