Wow, is that really true? I have a copy of 20,000 leagues in my cupboard but its a long time since I bought and last read it.

Like in a fairy tale, where the prince and princess live happily ever after,
it was because of team-bhp that I started to love my drive. Hence I
chose drvhplyevraftr as my handle which is shortened form for
drivehappilyeverafter.

Originally my Counter Strike alias back in Canada. My room was on the 9th floor and room # was 911 We had to add a floor number prefix to a CS Tag which is where i got the '9th' from and i had been using 'sphinx' as a nick since like forever... Therefore, 9thsphinx.

Big Chief,

You seem to be alone, without your sub-chiefs and hordes in attendance, so I am venturing on a mild clarification.

The Vikings bit is fine, they were great sea-farers, but it made me slightly queasy to see you mentioning Huns in this connection. The closest they are likely to have got to the seas is passing by the Aral Sea, the Caspian Sea, later, the Black Sea. They were nomads of the steppes, originating, according to some historians, north of China; these accounts link them to the people that Chinese annals called the Hiung Nu, people who had a major influence on Indian history in an indirect way. So the original Huns would have been queasy - like me at the moment - if not downright sea-sick at getting on board a ship on the high seas.

Unless you are referring to the British using the term 'Huns' about their rivals in two world wars, the Germans. This was pure slander. Ironically, the Germans, or derivatives of those, originally stopped Attila's hordes at the battle of Chalons (Theodoric the Visigoth king leading an alliance including several Germanic tribes and the Romans of Gaul against Attila). Several centuries later, they stopped the Magyars (another steppe people falsely linked with the Huns) at Lechfeld, under King Henry the Fowler. The British really weren't being very fair.

These 'Huns' did, however, have battleships. Big ones, some think better ones.

So you now have the choice of names narrowing down a bit, if you want to retain a link with the sea. Have you toyed with the possibilities of Rowving, which (etymology apart) a Viking did rather endlessly; or, if you prefer being a little more up with the times, Rowking? You could set off across the Atlantic with that, or be idle on the Isis, casual on the Cam, or shake a leg at a disco, or annoy Judge Vyas, who doesn't think people should use royal titles any longer, all at one fell stroke. Do keep us posted.

AK being my initials and wanted some numbers to make my user name have atleast 5 charecters... so "916" - being one of my favourite bikes during school/college days... I loved the "innovative" set-up it came with (Underseat exhausts, mono swingarm) and of course the fact that it is the predecessor to the 996 and the oh-so-good-looking Agusta F4...
