Default Islero's Car Sketches

I have been sketching cars, designing cars and putting my love for the automobile on paper since a very young age. I would sketch everyday, be it my own fantasy car or a picture forma magazine. I found that by sketching a car, one would appreciate its design features better, and understand what the car was meant to do better.
This hobby reached its peak around 2 years ago and then faded away. I was going through some of my old sketches (there are quite a few!!) and decided to sketch again a few days ago.

So, after a few delays due to classes yesterday and today, here it is. A Ferrari 512M drifitng through a corner driven by a young Andrew Frankel working for Autocar, back in the early nineties.

Some of my older sketches:

Vauxhall 30-98 Wensum:
What an amazing car! One of my favourite pre-war cars. the name was a spoof of Mercedes' 38-90, by the way. lol.

Lamborghini Miura Roadster:
This one-off was sadly never considered for production, being just a Bertone concept. What a lovely car!!

Please comment, and give any suggestions for improvement etc. If you interested, I can post more sketches of mine too.

I will also be posting some of my own designs later.

Cheers,
Islero

Islero,
What a gift you have! Do post more sketches including your own face!!

Mods,
There's more talent in tBHP than one would've imagined... Why don't you open a new section to showcase artistic talents such as islero's?

Great work, Islero! Keep it up... I'm enjoying!!

Hey guys,
Thanks a lot!!!

Allright people, on request, I post more of my stuff......

Jaguar SS100:
Not much talked about, compared to the E-types, and XK's, but really really pretty.

Auto Union 1000S:
The German equivalent of the Morris Minor, and so much cooler. Powered by an air-cooled engine, if I am not mistaken.

De Tomaso Mangusta:
The 'Mongoose', powered by a Ford V8, sadly not built very well, and bombed as a result. Lovely-looking thing, and highly underrated.

Sorry if some people expecting sketches of modern cars are not satisfied, I dont know why, I always ended up sketching classics only, I dont know why. Must start on some moderns soon.

My next post will contain some of my designs......

Cheers,
Islero

Classic cars are classic for a reason. The De Tomaso was interesting. Waiting for your designs.

Exactly. I just love classics!!! After seeing the way car design is going, everyone is looking back at their heritage because they are a bit at dead ends at how to proceed, one has to agree, classics just rule!!!!

Which is why I buy every issue of Classic & Sports car or Classic cars, or anything else I come across.
