Default Gamers: what is your most powerful car in gran turismo

well i was playing gran turismo 3 today and thought what kinds of cars you people have in the game and how much power do they make.

till yesterday mine was a toyota mr2 turbo that is making 500 something horsepower and is geared for acceleration so the top speed is at 141 mph.

today after finishing the gran turismo world cup in the begeners league i took all the money made(174000) and completely modded a nissan skyline gtr v-spec II (r32) at 827 horsepower and a top speed was 230 mph when i tested it by changing the tranny setting to max speed. my mr2 is running on super soft compound racing tyres but i ran out of money so the skyline is still running on the tyres it came with.

i only still have an ib lisence because i am really bad at turns and get by with only power. and also although i had the game for 4 odd years i only started playing the stimulation mode last week. i have about 17 car in my garage and started off with a pt cruiser.

so write the most powerful car and all the mods done to it.

Does anyone play Forza Motorsport with XBOX here? Thats the XBox equivalent of the GT series (its sposed to be better than GT3, not as good as GT4 tho).

GTurismo 4 is the best simulation car game i've ever played. Racing in the HKS Silvia, or the Carbon R Skyline, the max ive got out of is the Mercedes CLK GTR with a 9 second quartermile and top speed of 440 km/hr with the longest gear ratio. Power output 1091 hp. Selling price a little less than 800000credits. The 9 Second quarter mile is with 50shot of nos.

nos eh. i am going to be getting gran turismo 4 in may because my ps2(no not the tyres) is from the us so it can play only ntsc games so i am having a relative bring me the game hope to have some fun with it for about a week or two before getting back to studies.

back to the topic... even though i do not follow the racing line i can feel that the mr2 is a much bettter handling car than the skyline with the front engine and four-wheel drive. so the gap between me and other cars is more with the mr2 on twisty tracks than the skyline but in the tracks with long straights and less turns it is a totally different story.

Hey guys, i just picked up GT4 last weekend. Well, i still have to get the memory card so stuck with arcade mode for now. The most powerful car right now would be the Lister Storm (595bhp i guess).

But man, what a game this GT4 has turned out to be. Been practicing the Nurburgring, i kinda know the track now. It's not really as diff to understand, as Jeremy Clarkson made it to be. Hehe

Did 7mins 53secs with the stock NSX R. The real world lap time for this car is 7mins 56secs but this doesn't qualify as a complete lap as the start finish straight (around 250-300 mtrs) was not used. So the realistic time would be around 8mins (driven by "Gan San" of Best motoring).

Took the Wagon R on track too, hehe. It managed 11mins 10 secs.

The Lister Storm managed 6mins 45secs.

Boy am i gonna enjoy playing "GT Mode" once i get the memory card.

PS : The opening video trailer rocks!!!

just got the game three days back and already started gt mode with 100000 credits and my b and a licenses from gran turismo 3. got a skyline here too. and won an autobinachi. i am at a small road block here so have to make more money to continue. in arcade mode i went around the ring in an elise. in b-spec mode i commanded an E55 around the rind that was owning everything until the end of the last straight right after overtaking a corvette C5 gransport the driver spun out and came third 7 secs behind the vette. will try to improve though.

graphics are way better than the third game and so are the sounds and details. i havent even seen the opening trailer. got straight to the game..

i could'nt wait to play this game after i played the prologue at a frends house a couple of years ago. and i have to say the wait was worth it. truely one of the best racing games for the ps2.

If you have completed let me know how you approached it.

Yeah i've completed it but it is pretty tough, especially catching the last fella. You need to draft the earlier cars and let them draft you as well, this is the only way the whole group can go faster than the first guy.

I've saved the replay. Just need to figure out how to get it out of the memory card and post it on youtube.

Niki's SUPRA hits 8.39 standing quarter..take some tips on tuning from him for that matter. And this drafting scene? its confusing are we still talking GT4 coz some of us dont draft we drift lol...just kidding or have we decided to shift to Carbon?

Shan,

Why dont you do it the oldschool way and just take a video of the TV like we had done last year when exchanging trial mountain videos remember?

It worked pretty well!
