No, on a regular basis, I drive 45K +, but crossed 50K (53K) only in 2005. All other years since 1999, I have clocked 40-50K every year.

My office was just 6km round trip from home and then Pune traffic makes you use 2 wheelers than 4 wheeler. Since I got married and my in laws stay in Mumbai, my car started munching miles.

From Apr 2005 - Apr 2008, total running was 8K
From May 2008 - Oct 2009, total running is 11k

Total running - 19K in 4.5 years

My/our first car was a (then) 9yr old M800 in 2004 acquired at 50,800 on odo. The odo read 93,000 in December 2008 when my Palio happened, averaging about 10,000 a year. The B'day of the Palio is still 50 odd days away and I have done 16,050 till today. A couple of longish trips are in the offing before that and I should get to the 20,000 mark by then.

Pick me up from Ghy.

PS. My old man is still driving the M800 and when I saw/drove her last week (in terrible shape) the odo was just shy of 97,000.

My work takes me all over Maharashtra and I prefer to drive most of the time.
I approximate 23000 kms per year. I have been using my Palio since 2006 (30000kms old then). It is now nearing 100,000 kms.
Mostly highway driving.

Default Kms (VRRROOOMMMM)

depends upon various factors like city where u say, your age etc. when my father gifte me his premier padmini in 1997 i covered 20000 in 4 years that was mainly to commute from my work-city (mathura) to inlaws(hisar) or my parents place (karnal). This 20k also included my trip from mathura to jamnagar.
later i bough Maruti zen in 2001 at Jamnagar where our township was adjacent to our workplace and we used the vehicle mainly to commute to the city 25 kms far once in a month and it covered 25K till nov2006 when is shifted to mumbai and have done another 25k till date in less than 3 years. Parallely i bough fiesta 1 year back that has also clocked 7K .

Meanwhile my father gifte his old maruti to my sis after using it for 10 years and clocking 20K only.

So as mentioned earlier it shall vary a lot.

I travel around 36000 - 40000 kms per year. Most of this is due to business trips & part hometown visits.

This year, I brought my current car home in March end. Till now, I have done ~17000 kms (16,850 on the odo). That is an average of nearly 2,500 kms a month. If I keep going at the same rate, I'll have done 30,000 kms by next March. This will include both city and highway driving

I cover an average of about 10K per year between my car and activa.
Office travel is about 7000 kms, Weekend travel is about 3000 kms.
I plan to increase it to 15K for 2010.
