OMG this is really a very sad news for a HUGE Yeti fan!

Sam RIP and Jenny may God be with you!

Sorry to clog this but its truly inspirational!

Cannot forget these lines below from his epic thread
http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/travel...irst-time.html (A YetiHoliday® - TheOne® visits India for the first time.)

which I have been trying to adopt in my life.

And read the last line! Sigh! :-(

Yes it is. Yes it is.

And now here's a message from our sponsors about what the YetiLife® is all about.
  • Love your partners and enjoy life with them.
  • Bring passion in your life, a life without passion is dull. Love, sex, laughter, madness and even sorrow and tensions are an essential part of life. Enjoy them all. Repeatedly.
  • Go do what you want to do without caring what people will think.
Nobody really has time to think about what you did. Those who do think about it, will forget in a few days. You will be left with the experience of a lifetime. Go on, do it.

Think of the craziest thing you wanted to do. No matter how crazy. Alone, or with a loved one. DO IT! PM me if you want advice or help, I will help you any way I can.
  • Take time out to be with your family. We all need money to live and jobs and tensions and we all have dreams. Put them all aside and go and live with your partner and family.

Nothing happens. Your office doesn't stop functioning, if you're really good at what you do, you won't get fired, if you get fired and you're really good at what you do, you'll get a new job, - your business may suffer for a few days, you may lose a few rupees, it doesn't matter.
  • The world functioned very well without cellphones and email. People took decisions in the absence of their seniors and they were often the right ones. Don't take that instinct away from your juniors. Let go.
  • Arrey, someday you'll die and STILL nothing will happen, the world will function wonderfully without you. A few people will remember you, then forget you. Your partner will remember you often - at least GIVE him/her something fun to remember you by!!

Let the world function for a few days without you NOW, while you're still living!!! Go and live, enjoy, take as many holidays as you can with your partner/wife/gf/kids, before some unforeseen circumstances don't permit you to enjoy life anymore. It has happened and will happen to the best amongst us. Dying is not in your hands, but at least living is!
Hey, at least you'll know you LIVED before you died.

Truly heartbreaking.

Though I have never met him, have experienced his "Yetiblogs" through this forum.

His threads were most enjoyable, while at the same time addressed complex issues in a simplified manner.

This is truly a loss to the audiophile community, and not just TEAM-BHP

Terrible news. I can't believe this!
Read about how Akbar helped you mend the overheating issue on the Land Rover just sometime back. Thank you for sharing so much with us, for our pleasure. You are one man TBHP will miss forever!

RIP Yeti.

I last chatted with him a few days back. He was a good friend and I had met him a few times.

Our friendship began when I sent him a pair of shoes a few years back.

He not too long back surprised me by sending a Head Unit for my car !! This morning when I saw the HU I smiled and I thought everytime I am going to look at this it will remind me of him.

He then called me for a pair of shoes to be worn on his wedding day and I gladly obliged and got him a custom made pair.

Our friendship was simple. I took care of his leather shoes and he took care of my Audio.

I was raised in Bandra West BUT I was a kid and did not know him then until about 5 - 6 years back through mutual friends

But we used to be in constant touch on Blackberry and Whatsapp.

A warm and loving king sized guy.

You will be missed dear friend.

A Sad Goodbye with a very heavy heart :(

Unhappy Re: Sam Kapasi is NO MORE :(

Just stumbled upon this thread

A very very sad news indeed. Though I've not known him personally, I've been an ardent follower of his posts. From what I've read about him here, he was truly a gentle giant and one heck of a friend. This is a big loss for the TeamBhp family!!

R. I. P. Sam a.k.a. The Yeti... You will be missed :(

It has been ages since I logged in to TBHP or participated in threads, but The Yeti's posts/ threads were one of the few I ardently follow for the sheer life in them. I don't think I 'know' any other person without having even met or spoken to them.

I don't know how to react to this news, just made me numb. My heart goes to Sam's dad and Jenny - I hope I can do something to make them feel better, but The Yeti is irreplaceable...

Angry Re: Sam Kapasi is NO MORE :(

My heartfelt condolences to Jenny, his family, friends, T-bhp and self.
Never met the man. Just knew him and his family from the words that flowed from his fingertips on his trusted apple. Read all his blogs atleast twice.
Sam's persona was like that.....identified with his trips to Pune, his yam rx accident, his specially painted red Mitsu, his travels, love, courtship, marriage, family life........his work , his music......

Hats off to you Sam. You were the epitome of cool. You looked, lived and will always be a ROCKSTAR.

Please pardon any mistakes as I cannot see the sceen due to misty teary eyes.
RIP dude. I know you are somewhere around ........... we'll meet for sure.

Its heart wrenching to know that you're gone for good brother. We at TBHP always wanted you to travel and traverse length and width of this world but never meant you to venture into places from where there's no coming back.
Though I never met you but I learnt a lot from you through your blogs and stories. Just when I was expecting a new travel story from you, you made a different story of your own altogether.

May you amuse the heaven the same way you amused us. R.I.P The Yeti. My heart goes out to Jenny and other family members of Sam.

I have probably returned to the forum after months or even over a year to get a dose of the Yeti...

Received a BBM last night and all I could think was life isn't fair. But then I began to think how Sam would have wanted it to be. Still, it's a tragic and unfair end of life so young and at its prime.

Keep the bass kicking Sam!

Never felt so bad for missing someone I did not know personally. I haven't even responded in any of threads, but read them all and loved them.

RIP Sam!!
