Unhappy Re: The "FLOP SHOW" is over R.I.P Jaspal Bhatti

Really sad today, usually Not the feeling when some celebrity dies :(

He was a true comedian, a treat to watch even today, a void that would never be filled i believe.

A thinking entertainer.
This stung.

I still remember religiously catching flop show, and ulta pulta(the "kirayedaar", and "PhD guide" still ring).
Lately he had started some sort of protests against politicians, but they were still done intelligently, not the usual "murdabad" stuff, but ones which make you think while you laughed.

Totally agree.
One of the very few comedians who passed social message using the satire.
Still remember 'Flop Show' episodes and especially the small songs/ poem that followed at the end of each episode highlighting the issue.

RIP Jaspal Bhatti.

For someone who grew up loving and watching his political satires, I am extremely sad to hear this. Its almost like a personal loss. One of the most beloved sardar on Indian television and a great human being which touched us all with his down to earth clean humor and his comic timing. Mr Jaspal Bhatti, you will be missed. RIP :(

Very sad to hear this. Ulta pulta was a must watch before going to school and then came Flop show. I still absent mindedly hum his parody lines " Beaker ko agar jar kahen to jar hi kahenge' instead of the original Mukesh song!!

RIP Jaspal Bhatti Saab

Sad news. Another good soul leaves this world. Difficult to find a man with such clean humor molded in with social issues.

May his soul rest in peace.

Very sad news! His latest satirical movie "Power Cut" was scheduled for release tomorrow and he was returning from some promotional event for the movie. There never would be another Jaspal Bhatti.

Read reports elsewhere that he was sitting in one of the rear seats and would not have had the protection of air bags.

Very sad to read this, rest in peace Bhatti saab, we will miss your great sense of humour !

I'm really saddened by this loss. Never felt this way for any celebrity in the recent times.
I can still remember how I would be so eager to watch his 'Flop show' and enjoyed watching his satirical comedy even though I was just a 8-9 yr old school kid ! Honestly, I could get what he was trying to portray as I used to say sometimes this is what X & Y person does among the people we knew !

One of the saddest days. He was the true-blue, original and extremely talented actor and will be best remembered for his very original and hard- hitting satire on topical issues that were very contemporary and touched the Indian lower and middle class masses and classes."Jaspalji kitthe gaye ho tussi?" You will be badly missed!
May his humble soul rest in peace.

Really sad news I heard from news in the morning :-( Jaspal Bhatti was a gem, a pioneer. Indian TV industry has to be blamed for not leveraging his unique talents and focussing on mostly mindless programming. Most of his old shows still bring a laugh and more today - and issues are still relevant.

RIP sir.
