Can someone suggest me a good broadband connection with hi speed and download limits around 10GB. I stay at bannerghatta road near Arekere . Most of the new connections like U broadband etc have no connectivity in this area . Currently I am using airtel 750 plan with 5GB limit at 1MBPS speed and thereafter low speed at 256kbps.

Try operators like ACT and Hathway cable - they are far cheaper than Airtel. Check for availability in your place first with these operators.

BSNL also works out cheaper.

Anyone in Hyderabad who wants great data limits and blazing fast speeds should undoubtedly opt for Beam Fiber. I pay something around 1100 a month and have 15MB/S speeds for data upto 40GB. 2MB/s after that. All packages are unlimited as far as i know. The network is almost never down and service is pretty good, you have to call more than once to get a job done though.

Do they have their service in Bangalore, especially JP Nagar? AFAIK, I do not have any option other than BSNL in this area of Bangalore. If there are other better options than BSNL, please suggest. As of now, i am on BSNL 750 Dataone Plan.

I use ACT Broadband. It costs 1160/month with taxes for 15Mbps upto 40GB. I have an annual subscription and they give additional 25GB FUP and 2 extra months free Internet.

So, effectively I pay 1000/month for 15+Mbps with 65GB FUP.

Their tariffs are affordable and speeds are amazing. I had a few issues with the support, but their reasons were always understandable. I got them to wire LAN connection to 4 comps in different corners & floors of the house and to my TV. Qualified engineers (that too quite decently knowledgeable and well mannered guys) were dedicatedly doing the work even if took them almost 3/4th the day with just 1 lunch & a short tea break. Thought they deserved better (positions in jobs).

I'm in NO WAY connected with ACT Broadband except for having an internet connection from them. Just a satisfied customer.

Attaching a screenshot of their tariff plans :

What is the general consensus about Tikona broadband and service?
I am in Pune, and Reliance Broadband has become horrible with no rectification of their issues. So I am looking out for some other provider.

I am thinking of going for Airtel Broadband at my home - 699 for 2Mbps - 15 GB.

Any opinions on reliability of the service in Mumbai?

Airtel is sufficiently reliable, however what are the alternatives you have?

I mean the speed is ok, but the download limit os way too low in my opinion.

Got rid of Tata Docomo and now enjoying the superiority of fiber networks from Beam. Tried my luck first with their webpage to make their representative contact me. But no one budged.
Later, called up their customer care and the representative was there in my house by lunch and the connection was activated by 10PM. Excellent service, i would say.
As of now, activated the basic plan of 399 PM for an 1MBPS connection with taxes extra.
I am getting a download speed from 110-120 kbps. FUP is 20GB, after which speed reduces to 512 kbps.
Will plan to move to a higher mbps in the coming months.

Only con, even though my house had all the beam connections intact, they charged me the installation charges.

So which one did you go for? I recently shifted to the same area so I'd most probably be going for Hathway or MTNL.

I've used MTNL's 1mbps (unlimited, no FUP) in Defence Colony and it was a great experience but not sure how MTNL's service is going to be in Lajpat Nagar so maybe I'll experiment with Hathway first.

There's this company called ACT Broadband that provides quite quick internet at damn low prices, so they recently crossed 50,000 members and decided to upgrade our speeds for a week!

Looks like nobody is bothered to improve the speeds in Chennai!! Both Bangalore and Hyderabad seem to have speeds in excess of 20 Mbps which is also economical. I donts see anyone offering similar speeds in chennai
