Just a request to upgrade the board to send out RSS feeds...

Hey GreenHex,

Im not 100% sure what an RSS feed is, but from my basic knowledge i can tell you that TBHP does have 2 features u may be overlooking.

1. "New Posts" on the top left of the page. Will show you all the new posts since the last time u logged in. (However beware of the fact that if u havent logged in for a long time it may leave out the older-new posts)
2. "Track this topic" at the bottom left of the page. I havent really used this, though there is a "topic tracker" in your "control panel"(top left) maybe it also can send u notices via PM (or maybe email) when a thread is updated. chk it out.

Im guessing this is what u want a RSS feed for? ....tell us more...

I back what Rehaan said. We have features such a tracking topics and "new posts". Plus we would like our users to view our content on Team-BHP itself.

RSS is a format for syndicating news and the content of news-like sites, including major news sites like Wired, news-oriented community sites like Slashdot, and personal weblogs. But it's not just for news. Pretty much anything that can be broken down into discrete items can be syndicated via RSS: the "recent changes" page of a wiki, a changelog of CVS checkins, even the revision history of a book. Once information about each item is in RSS format, an RSS-aware program can check the feed for changes and react to the changes in an appropriate way.

well another request... can you set the board's time right.
I guess there is a option to set the time differential right... in the Admin panel.

SLK. I believe the clock is ahead by 15-20 minutes. The problem is...the Admin CP only allows you to increase or decrease by units of the hour. Not in minutes.

We will just have to wait till our hosters reset the server since IB draws its time from the server it is running on.

For the uninitiated...

What RSS does (or aims to do) is this, very crudely:

The incremental changes from "your" last visit is "probed" by a client running on your web browser.
You get a list of items that have been changed/ modified/ added-to from your last visit...

It's very useful... if you are in "that" frame of mind. It does not affect other aspects of the website.
Several boards have adopted this technology.

And moderators,

I know that other methods as mentioned by Rehaan are avaliable, but this method is less "intrusive" than those.

another issue....
whenever i open the "team-bhp reviews" board.... its not ordered... I have to arrange it.. and only then.. i can find the recent topics.
Issue with my computer?.. don't really think so

The Reviews section is ordered. But alphabetically for easy reference.
