Hey, I luv the way ppl say that Srinagar blasts can't be compared to the Bombay blasts !! Thats a typical situation which a lot of us Indians wud claim -- if it happens around us = BAD but if it happens thousands of miles away = NO Big Deal !!!
Its similar to the Americans , till 9/11 the general public thought they were a very safe community with an occassional terror incidnet here and there but none with a major impaxct on the American citizen ... 9/11 changed all that . They are terrfied since then knowing that they too can be hit , and suddenly they wanted action against the terror groups world wide and started condemning various groups, etc. Infact also suddenly started sympathising with countries that wre being targeted by the terror groups though before 9/11 it didnt make no difference to them who was attacked or who attacked and so on ....
So dude don't compare one dying or 2 dying as a barometer ....

I think i played the devil's advocate, and too early.
I have read the experiences, seen the reports, and realise what has happened. still it does not change what I have observed in mumbai in my short periods of stay.
All i suggested was a way to be alert to what's happening around us, and why it's not so feasible.
apologies to everybody who got hurt, and if I was there even I would have tried my best to help. but that does not stop me from looking for ways to stop these things in first place. I am sorry but I like to think that way, even if it's rude at this point of time.
rest later, at appropriate time.

does that mean that just because its happening regularly we should ignore that ...would you be saying teh same if the type of blasts were to be happening regularly in mumbai as well..
No more on this topic ..we all are just talking ...only teh people who have seen themselves will understand what i am saying ...
over n out

Ok, it's great to know everybody in forum from Bombay is all right.
Thread started with a note of concern. Now it's going other way. If we had members from J&K, I'm sure same kinda thread would have started...
This thread has come to an end. So..
