I am definitely going. I wasn't so keen on going, but yesterday i saw them practising from my college, and they are darn good. These guys were pulling loops, and somersaults, in their Sukhois and Suryakiran team is just fantastic. And to watch a jet fly by your college window, is probably the most shocking sight in the world.

Definitely going to be there....even I'v been hearing jets at home as well as college....plus havn't been to such a thing before being new in Bombay. Not to forget my semi-obsession with planes. They are the most thrilling machines ever.

The one thing to watch out for. Sukhoi SU-30 MkI pulling Cobra loops at 3-4 Gs. Absolutely stunning. The plane literally decelrates from Mach 1 to a standstill and stand on its burners, literally mid-air for a few seconds. It can outmaneouvre and out-gun an F-16. Anyday.

Just back from college. In between lectures i decided to pop in and go to Marin Drive for the airshow. Stunning is not the word. I haven't seen silver Ferraris, especially ones that fly. Today i did. Boy oh boy, i did see the Sukhoi pull crazy stunts with the plane and pilot pushed to the limits of the G tolerance levels. Could have been anywhere between 5 and 9 Gs.

And yes, i finally saw the bird do the Cobra loop. My dream of 7 years has been fulfilled. The plane looks stunning doing it. Sheesh, i still feel like hitting myself for not giving my NDA exams.

The rest of it was pure eyeball treatment. The ALH helicopters pulled crazy stunts. Ever seen helicopter dive completely nose down? Or fly in reverse? The Surya Kirans kept flying in circles, painting the flag of India all over Mumbai's skies.

A total treat for the eyes. And the best part is you don't pay to have a seat in here. Anyone else saw it as well ? Post in. And yup if you have taken pics, put em in.

i agree with revv, the whole show was awesome. although the show was to start at 3 pm, it started at 4, but what followed was surely worth the wait. if i had a chance to ever be in the armed forces, the air force would surely be my 1st choice. it was crazy watching those pilots carry out fly-by manouvres with amazng precision. at one point, if im not wrong, a refuelling jet was fuelling two jets at the same time. there were a couple of runs where our very own air india planes were escorted by jets on each side while doing their fly-by runs. watching the choppers carry out those stunts was mindblowing, it truly seemed unreal to see such a monster having such amazing agility. someone i know took a video of the whole thing on his digicam, ill ask him if hes got stills too. hopefully if i do find any, ill post em on here.

Best part of the show was the Heart made by one of the teams.!!
The SuryaKiran team was just awesome...one of the best acts was that 2 jets coming face to face!!
Ps: I simply loved that sound of the thrust from their engines...simple mindboggling!!!!!
