What I wonder now is, should I stick the mat thingy to the dash? Because, if the mat slides, then objects kept on top should slide too?
lol no. When you place the mat on the dash and keep your phone on it, it will be fine. No need to use glue.

A dot of glue or double sided sticky tape is needed. I had the same problem. The mat was sticky and the phone doesn't slide of the mat but the whole mat does slide around.

This is mainly because during service they put that dashboard polish and it's sort of oily.

Let me guess. You want to cut into the oval shape of the lancer's dash board and put it there?

Since the Mat is larger than the space available in the Front Dash of the XETA, A little shape and snip snap will fit it perfect.

The one for the lancer will remain as it is.

Make sure you do not cut the cute red logo.
