They're probably still researching to find a Mauka

More interesting will be the match itself - India Vs Australia

Just came across a FB post with a video of Sachin`s interview before WC where he was asked "who will win this cup?"
Sachin says Australia, SA, NZ & India will be his semi final teams and anyone can win the cup from there!!

Really the man who knows everything in cricket

The reason why I think India will win the world cup is that, if they do not win the fans will not be disappointed (If they go down fighting). At the same time there is a huge expectation from all other teams to win. At this level, the games are won at the 'mind' level.

Match India's 'go-go-go' spirit which is evident now Vs 'should-not-lose' mindset of others. And we know who is the winner.

Guessing the semi finalists is not very tough job. I remember very well that before WC96, Sir Richard Hadlee was the only cricketer who predicted correctly that Sri Lankans are going to win the cup. Thats what I call prediction.
Lets talk about T-Bhp, the voters have also predicted that who will be four SFs. Now as Aus have got highest votes, so they are most likely to win the cup.
On a lighter note, to make India's chances stronger I request all the Bhpians to vote for India before the SF against AUS.

There just 3/4 teams that can realistically win the WC. I guess every "expert" would have predicted one or the other as the eventual winner. So some of them are bound to end up right.

Now if someone can tabulate predictions of these "experts" for each of the WC and then let us see how often they are right

On BBC Football, theres a weekly column (Lawro's predictions) where different people predict football scores for all the games during the weekend. Theres a scoring system as well for perfect predictions (exact score) vs right about win/loss (not the exact score but right about winners). Different people (from various fields, maybe football fans) test their wits agianst the resident BBC Football expert (and Liverpool Football Club legend) Mark Lawrenson. The score, as of now, is visitors beating expert by a narrow margin!

Been getting plenty of these forwards via WhatsApp. Got one right at the start of the tournament when 4-5 matches were completed. Well, they got all those predictions quite right but the rest failed.

TBhp poll doesn't make sense now because it started before start of the tournament and that time Indian team was amongst the least favorites. Even I also wouldn't have voted for them at that time. If poll was started after the group stage completion then India might haveeven captured the top place. Performance of Australia and South Africa hasn't been like champions this time like what India or NZ had shown, but who knows, it depends on whose day is that!

Arrey I was just joking that as the team got least votes have been knocked out one by one and among the favourites AUS has the highest no. Of votes so let us vote for India so they end up getting higher votes than Aussies and it may help them win. I don't know whether this poll is open or closed as typing from mobile.

Edit : Just saw that this poll is closed. May we request the Mods to open it till the SF against AUS so that we all can do our bit for Team India.

If someone noticed, the results of the 95% of the matches were easily predictable from the day 1.

This WC by far was the most predictable so much that even the all QFs were one sided.

In this WC, I didn't find any matches apart from ZIMvIRE or one two matches which raise any suspicion. Even in that match Sean Williams was given not out but he himself didn't come back to bat. Now, if one say that the entire WC has been already fixed (like IPL) by core group of 3-4 individuals in some 5,6,7,8,9or 10 Starred hotel, then I may be wrong.

I was too lazy to type a big message on mobile otherwise I myself would have circulated some match-fixing messages with the prediction about match results.

ABD is the man! Smashed 60 off 28 balls boosting SA's score to 216 for 3 at 38 overs. Go go go AB!

EDIT: Match paused due to rain.
