Cricket: The World Cup 2015 Thread - It's Australia yet again !

I think the South Africans will get the gorilla off their back this time.This time, we dont have the batting to make up for the inadequacies in the bowling department.

One more observation. Since 1987, We have always done poorly in a World Cup if our performance in the earlier edition was outstanding..1992,1999,2007.I dont have very high hopes.We should make it to the QFs(unless there is a spectacular implosion).Any success beyond that will be a bonus.

I think and want NZ to win the World Cup but at the same time would be equally happy if SA win it.
As I mentioned in the Cricket thread the four Semi finalists would be SA SL NZ & Aus. Final has to be between NZ and SA.
Martin Crowe has predicted an Aus SA Semi-final and if that happens, it would be cracker of a match (hopefully).

As for the Indian cricket team, maybe they can continue resting at the resort. Funnily, they get the most pampering and then whine when on the field.

Exactly, highly irritating and pandering to the masses in order to whip up some support for this good for nothing team. I don't remember when we have a team of such average talent last time around.

Remove MSD and Kohli and probably Raina and you do not have one guy to look up to.

Looking at the performance in test series in Australia it will be a tough job for team India to win this world-cup.
At least we should beat Pakistan

I don't think BCCI (Team India) deserves to win this world cup and I wish it would be NZ and I don't want Aus to win (though they would).

Will be a miracle if India wins this time, with the kind of bowling resources we have. Won't be surprised even if they lose to Pakistan this time.

Will love to see a new winner this time - NZ or SA!!!

PS: Do pamper your wives and girlfriends on this valentine day, if you want to watch Ind vs Pak peacefully match next day

Although I want the Indian team to win, but looking at their poor performance down under don't want them to win. I would want an under rated team like New Zealand to win since they haven't won as yet. or for that matter the eternal chokers South Africa.

The problem with Indian team is that they don't have fit and effective fast bowlers neither spinners, they don't have a good allrounder in the middle who can hold the fort and an ever collapsing batting line up which are like a pack of cards getting blown off at the slight whiff of air

My bet would be either New Zealand or South Africa.

Hats off to Grand Drive for believing in West indies team.

I dont think we will reach the semis. Indian team is comfortable only on home venues. I voted for South Africa going by their recent form but in the past they are known for being Chokers

I think India might not reach the second round. Whatever they score, others will score those runs with the crappy bowling that we have.

In the current form, it probably means that we will take all the blows when we are bowling, but #WontGiveItBack when we are batting.

Honestly i dont think its easy to predict for this WC. SA, NZ are doing well but both have never really done well in WC final stage. Teams who have handled pressure well are India , SL and Aust. I still dont think we should count India out of this WC. We never were favourites in 2003 ( reached Finals) and in 2011 ( Won WC).

I frankly would love SA to win. They definitely the most balanced side of the lot.
