Hey islero

Very small but very impressive collection indeed. I like your display case . It looks like you have cars in different scales in there . Can you put down a list of your 1:18 please?

I have posted pics of my cars but I think I'll take some more this afternoon and post em

My collection:

1:18:

Jaguar XJ220 -Maisto
Audi R8 Le Mans 2001- Maisto
Lamborghini Miura SV- Anso
( I think the lambo is a bit rare, I found it in the back of old stock at a decreipt hobby shop, and managed to bag it for a sizeable discount!! The detail on this car is marvellous, in some places better than maisto)

Porsche Carrera GT- Maisto

Mercedes 300SLR- Maisto ( replica of the 1955 Mille Miglia winning 722 car which was piloted by Stirling Moss and navigated by famous motoring journo Denis Jenkinson. One of my favourite car stories EVER)

1:24:

Lamborghini Countach 5000 Quattrovalvole- BBurago ( very common model, but very nice car)

Porsche 911 993 Carrera racecar- BBurago
Ford Mustang Boss Shinoda- Maisto ( I bought tihs inspired by a Motor Trend Article about the 1995 Boss Mustang. 670 bhp, 0-200 kmph in less then 9.5 seconds)
Mercedes SSK- BBurago assembly kit ( wonderful, just love it)
Jaguar XK120- BBurago assembly kit ( ditto)
Dodge Viper RT10- BBurago
BMW M3 racing version - BBurago
VW new Beetle- BBurago
Plymouth AAR 'cuda- REVELL assembly kit ( I have never seen a single revell model car for sale in india, so I was very excited when I came across this. It was fiendishly difficult to build and astonishingly detailed, and it was very useful for me because I learnt more about how a car is put together. I had to go around in paint shops looking for Matt black, candy apple red and other colours!! I havent assembled it very well though, and I took my brother's help in the very difficult parts!!!)
Mercedes 500SL- some stupid maker ( dont care much for this car really, got it as a gift, not very detailed, and the wrong colour)

1:27:
Land Rover Defender 90- cant remember maker
( I love this model, well built, good detailing, but you cant see it in the picture, it is on top of the dome in the middle!!!!)

1:43:
Ferrari F50- Maisto
Lamborghini Diablo- Maisto
Porsche 928 - Maisto

I also have a very big 1:64 collection that is displayed in many places around my house, most of it hotwheels. This I have been collecting since I was born( I never used to throw away or give away cars)

Among them is an original 1969 Prowler from Hotweels, which is the first car they launched.

Hey islero thanks for the quick reply. Youre pretty lucky to get the Anson Miura and like you said for a good price. I have to buy a Miura but the only option for me Autoart which cost around 3k odd. Sometimes its amazing at how you can buy 1:18 cars with minor defects for a bargain

I bought my Bburago EB110 for aproxx 900 bucks at a time when they costed 1500
because a the rear quarter glass was missing

Whoa amazing pics, I love your Ferrari collection man!!!!!

I so want those F50's. Does Maisto still make the 1:18 F50 hardtop? Do you know where I can order it from?

Not that I'm planning to get any model cars now ( my meagre allowance is spent almost entirely on my scooter and car mags )

But still, next time I get a model, its gonna be the F50 ( or a 250GTO. or a 917K. DAMN there I go again!!!!)

I dont know if Maisto makes the F50 model right now but yes they have come one with a 1:18 kit for the F50. So basically its the same car..only here you have to assemble it so I think you can go in for that one. Its a proper diecast metal kit
