| Nice to see Team BHPians reviews and mods on Front Cover of Economic Times of Auto Maina Mag. And the secret is out 500 BHP !!! The Article ... Body styling, engine tweaks, improved interiors, jazzy accessories...the market for car modifications is buzzing with action. ET AutoMania brings you the complete lowdown on what to look for and how to go about acquiring some serious asphalt attitude WHEN you bought your car it was an object of pride. The sunlight glinting off the highly polished curves, the purr of the mint-fresh engine, the rising pace of your heartbeat as you pulled away from the kerb...Admit it. You were in love with your car. As the months flew by, the sheen wore off; the attraction waned and your once prized possession became an eyesore. .... It’s a far cry from the days when car modification only meant sticking on an aftermarket spoiler or fitting jazzy alloy wheels. The options available today are limitless. Whether it is turning an ordinary Tavera into a swanky stretch limo or tweaking that Baleno engine into a 250 bhp screamer, car owners can see their wildest fantasies coming true. ET Automania spoke to car modification experts who transform run of the mill cars into those much-desired dream on wheels. “We are building the fastest car in North India,” gushes Arush Vohra of Autopsyche. It is a Mitsubishi 3000 GT and will have 500 bhp on tap. Arush is into serious stuff that drag race regulars dream about. A bit on the lines of Fast And Furious, where you have nitrous oxide cylinders strapped on your undercarriage for that mind numbing burst of speed. Arush is an expert with engines. Dealing with rallyists and racing enthusiasts in the US has given him an experience that he uses to satisfy the need for speed. “Demand for performance is more in the South than the North. There are not many racetracks here and people spend more on show than speed. For example we do audio work that range between Rs 2-10 lakh,” he says. But don’t we have performance freaks in Delhi? “Yeah, we have people who are into drag racing as well. But for normal people who want power upgrades, we have packages of 10bhp to 50bhp. Usually the Lancer and City owners go for engine upgrades,” Arush replies. “We have roll cages, sports seats, custom space frame chassis with a superlightweight fiberglass body and retrofitted engines,” he rattles off. Car owners are waking up to the fact that performance can in fact make a difference. .... You can read rest of the Article in The Economic Times, Auto Mania of 07 December 2006 [New Delhi Edition] which is also available at The Times of India ePaper where usually i keep myself updated from whats happening in India Lolz ... | Senior - BHPian | Congrats, Arush! Getting on the Economic Times is real good :-) (The world's largest read financial daily -- even more than the WSJ). It is recognition from a totally new kind of crowd, from people who aren't even that nuts about cars. From the quality of your work, you really deserve this kind of acclaim.

| Senior - BHPian | Great way to go Arush . Your designs I gotta say looks very very very well finished . ITs well appreciated by serious car freaks unlike DC's . Nice ...very nice indeed , and I think you should release an F & F edition of body kits (Fast and Furious). Congrats once again for your achievements
