Default Local telephone calls have become free[maharashtra and goa].

For all those on The One india plan on BSNL[Maharashtra and Goa customers ],Here's more reason to rejoice.Pay an additional amount of 99 per month and all local calls within same network [bsnl to bsnl fixed/wll/mobile] are free. Also calls to BSNL mobile throughout maharastra and goa would be considered a local call.

Now the One India plan makes sense for people who make only local calls,as earlier only people with heavy STD usage were benfitting from the same.

PS: You have to visit a BSNL CSC to apply for the same.
