100kms ONLY?

Seriously though, much respect to the fit folks who can attempt this. I've a Bianchi gathering dust in my garage - maybe I can motivate myself to take it out for a (considerably shorter!) spin this weekend.

Good luck if you're participating in the race

Or drive to the start end point and ride around? I am sure seeing many cyclists will motivate you

100 kms? Is it starting from Airport to Nandi Hills or a few times round trips?

Well more than Fuji it is the failure of Suntour fork, which is also used in most of the other cycle brands today, but Fuji should have done a proper quality check.

My friend and I cycled from B.E.L to Nandi Hills and back, a total of 120kms in late 1986 in our regular gearless cycles. It was just after the second SAARC summit, where all the VVIPs visited Nandi Hills. Therefore, roads were super pristine and there were bore-well taps every 2kms. We must have drunk from every tap. We couldn't cycle beyond the halfway mark of the hill, we just pushed the cycle rest of the way. We also slept on the side wall frequently due to exhaustion. This is a really grueling ride. Coming back is lot easier.

I bought Rockrider 5.2, costing ₹ 23,000 + accessories. The rude is a lot smoother than my earlier TRAX.

Took it out for a spin today morning for the 1st time .
And hell : The suspension lock out cap which was there when i started off was missing by the time i was back after a 15 km ride.
Attaching pic of the same .

This is not what you want after spending that much on a cycle.
I think it is mistake by going in for a lesser known brand "FUJI"
I bought this from BIKE SHARK Borivli(w) . The guy there - Dhiren has been cooperative so far. But it now needs to be seen that he is actually able to help me on this very promptly.
Again i repeat it is indeed disheartening to see things falling apart right from the 1st ride itself after having spent a fortune.

Edit update :
I had written emails to Advanced Sports international - USA(owner - Fuji brand) and also the Indian dealers listed on their website - M/s Long Shine international pvt ltd on 17/10/2013 and also to Fomas cycles and Cyclocraft.

I got a call back from M/s Longshine international(Ms Phiroza) on 18/10/2013 confirming that the issue would be resolved asap.
However she was unable to commit any date .
She indicated that the required part would be imported from Taiwan and this would need at least 15 days .
So fingers crossed for now.

And yes in the meanwhile i have taken my bike out for a spin totally for 4 times now (done approx 50kms) . No more issues so far.
Keeping my fingers crossed.

Thanks yogi for your inputs, i somehow am sure that this is an issue related to worksmanship at the time of assembling of the bike. Also confirmed by Ms Phiroza.

Quick questions: Who has a shock pump? Where did you source it from (India or abroad)? What brand? And how much did it cost?

Nope, that's a portable tyre pump, which I already have. What I need is a pump to fill air in the front suspension. Is something like that available in India, or do I have to get one from abroad?
