It is not just speed - think tactile feel, sound, response

Civic is an efficient capabile minion, Vtec is a rowdy passionate kid

Nahi yaar Sajo I wish it was *sigh* but the Civic is missing the zest & the x-factor that the VTEC has, which is why the VTEC such high praise from drivers. No replacement is there as of now.
The Civic may do most things better but it lacks feel. The Vtec scores highly on driver involvement...especially on stock tyres!

I love that analogy!!!!

Civics a great car with awesome looks but it lacks the feedback the OHC gives to a driver... Its the rawness of the vtec that makes it ever so popular... In a grander version it would be an S2000 in the honda race and the best would be nothing else other than an NSX type R!!!HUH!!!

Myyyyy god!!!
More than ten days out of forum and look what I've missed...

OK, it was GREAT FUN. Rush, thanks a ton.

Few observations:

Rush hasn't changed tyres from OE stock. They're hard. They're too numb to react. So they just do as they get a kick from that super power plant....rotate at neck breaking RPM. Result is pure bliss.
But Rush, that's risky at any cost. Please change them ASAP.

I love to have a VTEC. It's only a matter of time and my poor pocket. No, I'm not discarding my Optra. For munching long miles with comfort and speed with silence...it's still the king.

Like to have a few mild modifications. Stiff suspension set up from Psycho. Strut brace. Open air filter. Greddy header.....which will turn pink/golden in colour within an hour of installation.

Remove that CATALITIC CONVERTOR??? () To house that right diameter exhaust and tail pipe? Remove those famous twin chrome exhaust tips.

Remove that spoiler. Paint that luggage boot to remove any mark of that spoiler. Nobody should know that it’s a VTEC. That spoiler actually helping passing air through it at high speed and keeping that car in track????.......SORRY, I don’t buy that. Not for our kind of speed. I’ve done 180+ in my Optra without spoiler. It was like a rock.

That’s what I probably need my friend. After being in this business of advertising….A VTEC is a right partner to vent out my frustrations….over the weekends.

Driving an OHC Vtec is something everyone should experience atleast once. It's a beautiful car.

Now we can look forward to two old men in Vtecs, painting the town red.

It's the same old man speaking. With whatever understanding he has from his 31 years of his legal driving experience...

Rudra's a quick driver. Once we swapped cars and he just took off in my OHC while I was enjoying the plush interiors of his Optra. He was gone, lost me...Had to call and have him pull over for me to catch up.

Haha, looks like Rudra Sen is all set to be called Rudra "San". At this rate, we could soon have a "Team-Bhp Vtec Club".

Good luck with your Vtec search.

Come on, Rudra. Sometimes a sliding Vtec can be more fun...

I hope he doesnt. The last thing I need is a big powerful bike squeezing past my car and getting it scratched/dented at the same time.
