Default My top 5 indian cars

  1. BMW 3 series
  2. Honda Accord
  3. Honda Civic
  4. Maruti Swift
  5. Skoda octavia
Beamer's have the best engines when compared to audi's and mercs. it's been rated the No.1 car in USA in its segment 8 years in a row. in india BMW 3 series is doing very good...way sbove what BMW had expected.

Honda accord...everyone should agree, its one of the best d-segment car india has for its price..an all rounder.

honda civic...its awesome vtec engine, looks, interiors, and honda badge...way too tempting..and i believe great VFM.

maruti swift...great vfm...good engine...good interiors and features in zxi..great diesel engine too...trustworthy maruti brand. space is the only concern.

skoda octavia..though is now little faded...great diesel engine and skoda build quality...was the first and the best diesel car in its segment...the only concern was backseat little cramped.

Ideally this thread should have been named: Top 5 cars available in India

5. Honda City
Its unimaginable how Honda captured the mid-size market. They were the ones to make people realize that quality could come cheap.

4. Honda Civic
Not anywhere near to its western cousin, the type-R. But then again, We haven't yet embraced the small hatchback culture. Its one of the only cars in which the interior has been somewhat thought of.

3. Skoda Octavia
Its strange how something that started as a bad Czechian joke around Europe can live up to every possible expectation of an average Indian buyer.

2. Ford Focus
One of the best hatch-backs there has been in the whole wide world. If you are on budget, looking for a genuinely good car which looks amazing and want that hint of exclusivity, go for a 'Focus'.

1. Ford Mondeo
Yes. I love this car. Understated, performance oriented style. Its an equivalent of an Audi with half the price tag. The average Joe would go out and spend about 8 lakhs more and buy a Merc C, or a not so average Jai would spend double the amount on BMW 3, only to turn heads at the expense of quality. Its a car struggling to find its place amidst the fancy Accords and Camrys. Sure you don't get any bling value and its uglier than the child we would get if we crossed Rakhi Sawant and Himesh Reshamiya but none-the-less you get more car per penny.
