Is there such a thing as an 'Indian' car? Beats me how this is possible. Even the Ambassador, Fiat, Standard 10 and Herald were somebody else's design.

Perhaps the Nano will fit the bill when it's launched.

@MODS:
Why not just start a poll listing all. Atleast we will get the sense rather than having read every ones opinion and then making a summary off line?

Every time some one give a new model/car just keep adding the request to poll options?

Where did you live the Maruti's

Maruti 800 is a city car manufactured by Maruti Udyog in India and i guess Suzuki was not involved in building the same.

gowda79: Sir, the Maruti 800 was entirely a Suzuki design from the engine to the bodyline. In fact it was one of the most popular small cars in Japan. The new Maruti 800 (launched approx 10 years back) was redesigned/improved with the help of Indian engineers, but the heart of the machine was essentialy very much Japanese, the scope of the revamp being mainly cosmetic.
