Currently playing

Black Rain (album) - Ozzy
the best track in this is " I don't wanna stop this"

Gone to Earth (album) - Barclay James Harvest
All the tracks are good enough.

Mercedes benz mixed tapes - i didnt see any replies on this thread.
The mercedes tape vol 18 is now out Mercedes-Benz Mixed Tape
Sadly this is the last mixed tape and the 3 yr old project will be discontinued

Some of the music was really great and if anyone wants the old mixed tapes 1 through 17, let me know, they are available in bit-torrent form on a link i know or I could give you the same on CD at one of the meets

Cheers,
j

Mods - i think you should move this thread to some other more appropriate place!!

Cool

I cannot really mention which specific songs i listen to as I have access to GBs of music and latest videos in my car, but i can go with genres

On working days in the mornings (monday through thursday), while wading through the chaos of bangy traffic, I listen to some slow soothing music and occasionally new era music like yanni. This keeps my driving stress free and I don't get irritated at offending autos, 30kmph drag racing trucks and bikes overtaking from left. The exception is when I am running late for a meeting, in which case I need to drive like crazy and then rock is the music of choice no one dare mess with me when I am listening to rock!! I end up listening to rock as I am mostly late for office

On weekends, starting friday evening to sunday evening in the prime-time, when I'm driving with my friends, its hip hop with lotsa bass on the sub and the windows rolled down (as requested by my buddies, although I'm mostly quite a private person, I enjoy this once-twice a week). On the way back home, late at night on the weekends, its back to rock but mostly not the crazy kinds but slow rock songs.

So thats my formula for music and that is how I have sorted all the gigs of music/videos on my portable player which I hook in the car all the time.

Cheers,
j

PS - the mercedes benz music post above was a thread on some good free music by mercedes-benz's mixed-tape project for their customers. Unfortunately the project is now being shutdown and if anyone needs that music (18 albums), PM me and I will burn it on a DVD (1.5gb) and get it for you at the bangy tbhp meet or alternatively I can provide a bittorrent download link via PM.

Check out Cypress Hill, Skyline! You won't regret it if u like hip-hop!

IronWolf - I can see u're a good connoisseur of classic rock! I especially liked your Pink Floyd selections, although they're a bit spacey for drives...

My latest car-mp3s CD has a lot of:
1) Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, AND Crystal Method (makes for some maniacal driving!)
2) Happy Hardcore (which is speedcore techno with bubblegum-pop lyrics/synths)
3) Sublime and Red Hot Chili Peppers (to relax, as it were, after hearing the above)
