AC/DC's Back in Black - I have to play this track when I'm starting on a long trip, I can't explain it but it really pumps me up. Apart from this, many 80's rock/metal bands keep me in good spirits.

maiden's "best of the beast" album - nothing like that to get you pedal to the metal!!!! also, linkin park, rammstein, metallica and gnr - great songs when you want to go fast....

and of course, whenever at i see someone showing "attitude" with himesh reshmaiah, i reply back with black sabbath!!!!

for city driving, i prefer an assortment of satriani, roxette (an exceptinally under-rated band), enigma, aerosmith and trance numbers

I have a collection of Thyagaraja Pancharathna Keerthanams by Dr. Balamuralikrishna which I play a lot in the car. I find Sadhinchane to be the best for driving.

Painkiller! Nothing else can even come close to this one.. (esp the lines "rides a mental monster, breathing smoke n fire" and "Chromium plated boiling metal")

Hell yeah.. There is a Death version which has a louder and meaner intro, which might just lead you to the jaws of death if you are not careful with your right foot.

RiOs Black is Black is also a awesome choice.

Another good choice - vishnuvijay - Paranoid - Black Sabbath

And "Lashte bhutt not da Lheast" - "Best of the Beast" - good choice ashwin390.

I find "Back in Black" lyrics more appropriate than Highway to Hell... give it a listen, but then maybe I feel this way because my car is black

The one from Tokyo Drift, 'I don't know if you know', is my favourite.
