Absolutely! The bass-line sends waves through your spine!

I guess you play the lead/bass?

I have always had Dire Straits CDs in my car. Big time fan of them....

Few other constants in my car are Pink Floyd, Audioslave and Linkin Park.

try to get a golden collection of mohd rafi and kishore kumar, i bet we start to sing with them and you never get bored and you cover distance without knowing that you have already covred the same. thats the greatness of old hindi classics. each song starts playing you say to your self, "this is a great song" time and again. nothing to beat it and its not jarring to your decibel cords either.

Great to find a Pink Floyd/Audioslave fan here. Both bands are great to listen to on long drives, especially the latter! I have all their albums and it's a real pity that they aren't together anymore! Morello's superb guitar-work and Cornell's fantastic octave range came together like a dream!

Pink Floyd without a realm of doubt.

On rainy conditions - Dire straits, especially Riders on the storm!

I've been listening to The Doors quite a lot off late!

Hello I Love You, People Are Strange, The End, Five To One, Roadhouse Blues, Moonlight Drive, Indian Summer, Angels And Sailors, Cars Hiss By My Window, Love Me Two Times, Spanish Caravan, Light My Fire, Break On Through, Whiskey Mystics And Men, Whiskey Lullaby, are some of must-listens! Absolutely fantastic on a long drive!

Audio slave vocalist (Chris Cornell) is back with Sound Garden.
Does that still make them your favourite?

No more "I am the highway" !!! perfect for petrol heads?

They have always been in my 'Top-10' bands and artists! Now that Chris Cornell is back with Soundgarden, I hope they come out with more divine albums on the lines of Badmotorfinger, Louder Than Love, Down On The Upside and Superunknown.

I've heard that the rest of Audioslave (Morello, Commerford, Wilk) are re-grouping with De La Rocha and are back as RATM! But I'm told that there aren't any plans on any new albums!

By the way, Audioslave disbanded in '07. There are several reasons behind it. Apparently Cornell wasn't given enough credit and accolades for song-writing and composing and he decided to call it quits with the band. He went on to release a few solo albums that seem to have received a luke-warm response.

I play rhythm guitar mostly (that's my PRS soapbar in the profile pic ) but had to switch to bass cuz my current band has way too many guitarists already!

These days I am listening to old HIndi stuff (OP Nayyar, Salil Choudhury kinda stuff) in the car, thanks to my parents visiting. Suprisingly quite relaxing and energising!
