The girl called up her friends too in the middle of all this ..... who asked not to 'leave' the guy... hmm... car chase in the middle of the city.. and then using her mobile in during the process... Borne Supremacy sounds similar?

OR

Did she also call TIME-OUT in between to stop and call up her friends?

A fit one for bollywood to emulate. True or not, the Santro has lost a lot of points here to the Indica.

Would have given the cops a good reason to make money from both parties & settle the deal. Any other options you got ??

BTW, if you are talking about dangerous driving, whats that on your avatar ? 160KMPH on a Santro ??? talk about dangerous.

Default Car Chase Rules in India.

What's wrong with you guys? Don't you know the rules?
  1. Pick Stops.
During two hour or longer car chases through crowded cities, a short five (5) minute pit stop for dropping off / picking up fresh companions is allowed. Necking between companions during such times is discouraged for issues of propriety & urgency.
  2. Snacks & Light Refreshments.
Only three point five (3.5) minute stops are allowed for snacks & light refreshments, that too by mutual consent. Consent is obtained by the chaser double flashing their headlights to the chasee, & immediately switching on their hazard indicators. Chasers & chasees are expected to snack at different stalls to avoid either of them picking up the tab for the other & hopefully gaining forgiveness.
  3. Pedestrians.
Any pedestrians killed will be to their own cost & consequences. What are these damn fools doing on the roads anyways? Wanna use a road? Buy a car. Scooters not allowed.
  4. Crowd Assistance.
Assistance from the crowd is acceptable, provided that you only use local / faaltoo goons who have nothing better to do. The use of allegedly educated passerby persons (such as random 'uncles' or 'aunties') who attempt to stop, calm down & subsequently explain things to all & sundry is immediately disallowed, as it restrains the crowd from becoming a mob & thrashing the living daylights out of the one being chased, i.e. the chasee.
  5. Shorter Chases.
Any chase that lasts less that 15 minutes is not allowed a pit stop. Also, the chasee cannot get away by apologizing / begging / touching of feet / calling 'sister / brother' to anyone. In such instances, the chase will be immediately disqualified & shall have to restart.
  6. Women.
Any woman, whether in chaser or chasee position, shall not be at fault. If even the slightest fault is presumed, she can start crying to invoke appropriate crowd response. Males crying shall lead to disqualification & immediate disrobement, post which they shall be tarred, feathered & paraded around the chase route. Involvement of eunuchs at any point in the proceedings shall be an added points gainer.
  7. Cellphone Usage.
An immediate & automatic moratorium on cellphone usage laws shall be in effect upon the commencement of a chase. This shall be deemed vital & most necessary to ensure appropriate financial, moral and/or physical backup by uncles, fathers, brothers, rakhi-brothers, building boys, male friends, &/or one's own local goons. This is to ensure crowd support & entertainment for all watchers.
  8. Crowd Control & Quality.
The crowd that ensues once the chaser & chasee give up the chase & finally stop shall be subject to quality checks at any time. Anybody with no work is immediately disallowed, though always shall remain present. Only people who are gainfully or otherwise employed shall be allowed to stop whatever they're doing & participate in the "haath safai". This includes peons, delivery boys, local goons, 'fund' raisers, small businessmen, minor TV stars, pregnant women & ambulance drivers on the way to the hospital during 'urgent pick-up'. All other categories of the human & semi-human race are disbarred from the aforementioned haath-safai. Never owning / sitting in a vehicle of any sort is de-rigeur for any crowd participants.
  9. Police.
Any police arriving on the scene earlier than expected (usually before somebody has been slapped eight (8) times at least) shall be instructed to stand aside / sit in their jeeps / refresh themselves at the local juice-wallah till such time the aforementioned thrashing shall take place. Lathi charging / booking the entire crowd is immediately out of the question, as somebody, somewhere might be 'connected'. A wholly fictitious FIR is most necessary, as are 'information leaks' to rabid mediapersons.
  10. Overinflated Tyres with Alloys.
Anybody found using overinflated tyres with alloys, especially on Hyundai vehicles, shall be immediately correct, irrespective of their political leanings. However, such persons shall be discouraged from taking part in such chases due to the unfair advantage of phenomenal acceleration due to increased road grip such tyre & alloy combinations afford them.
To note: Only 12J tyres with 79psi & above qualify under this clause.

Now that elf has documented the points very well here.. may i request that a copy be faxed/mailed/sent via paper rocket to the lady in question.

A similar copy may also be sent to the RTO for subsequent updation of their records.

No dude. James Hadley Chase wrote it, back in 1881 when esteem_lover was a boy.

If I had, pedestrians would be banned, & we'd all be smoking dope & driving Lamborghinis.

At least, I would. The rest can eat cake.

Agreed. The women in my family have strict instructions not to step out of the car in such circumstances. Just take the car number, and leave it up to the insurance agents. The girl was brave...yes, but also a little foolish. Mid-night is not necessarily a good choice for such a chase. Not to mention, other road users being endangered due to such a chase.

@ ELF : Post no.32 had me in splits. You are crazy, man.

I agree with GTO. It is foolhardy for a girl alone to get so involved late at night but I had more fun laughing at Post #35.
