Our concern is why there are more Hayden days than Tendu's days...
Our one more concern is why Tendu always gets the ball that is 'even the best of batmans can't play'. Is it because the bowlers have special delivery only for Tendu?

And now Greg is bleating - I hope they publish the report.

The same Greg who condemned Ganguly for "leaking" confidential information is now bleating to PTI about how he wasn't given what he wanted (Suresh Raina is one of the names mentioned by him).....hope BCCI give him a STRONG rebuke for leaking confidential selection matters out to the press

Default Greg's SMS leaked ...

(Greg had sent the SMS prior to WC).
  • "Greg Chappell was unhappy with the squad chosen for the World Cup."
  • "team composition flawed"
  • "senior players resisting the inclusion of youngsters"
  • "chairman of selctors Dilip Vengsarkar backed the senior players because he feared a media backlash if the youngsters failed"
  • "Yuvraj wasn't a captaincy material"

Poor show from WI. Already the asking rate as gone over 8/over with 7 wickets remaining at the end of 15 overs. The match is finished.

Sothafrica is taking grip on the other match.

Hope Australia and SA emerge as winners in their respective matches.

NAILBITING FINISH. It was an excellent contest between SL and SA. Malinga stunned SA with his 4 wickets in equal no of *****. Unbelievable stuff. Best match so far in this worldcup. Good that SA came out as winners in this close contest.

It was poor approach by SL at the end of their innings & smith-kallis patnership that proved costly for them

lucky Malinga .. managed to get 4 wickets.. He has a strange rather weird bowling action. But good to see SA on the winning side even after that sudden collapse.

I was saying the same thing about Malinga's bowling action... Find it weird.

NZ won against WI. Remaining matches for WI are vs Srilanka, vs SA, vs England, vs Bangladesh.

It is unlikely that WI with their current form will get into semi-finals. They need to beat 3 teams in their 4 remaining outing to make into semifinals. Beating SL or SA is very very difficult task for them (assuming they beat both England and Bangladesh).

Thumbs up I'm in Super 8 !!!

As you know Ireland team consists of a bunch of part timers - a farmer, a teacher, delivery drivers, a salesman, who play Cricket on weekends. They had applied for a month's leave to participate in WC. Now that they are in Super 8, they have requested their bosses to extend leave by another month and luckily for them, its granted !!
Another heartening point is their Cricket board (ICU), agreed to fund only the accomodation and the player had to pay for flight from their own pocket...
A great achievement for Ireland Cricket, when they bet a team like Pakistan in a crunch game.

If an Indian said it - it would have been seen as a direct insult to the GOD of batting.

But yes , can't these experienced players see/feel that something is wrong somewhere with them ? Are they so blinded by records and $$$ ?

The lil fella simply doesnt get it. I can understand the enthusiasm, but the realisation that the mind and body are just not in it any more hasnt dawned on him. Denial. Painful.

Ian is not who will gossip around. He is quite respected in the fraternity. He has a valid point. Sachin needs to introspect his game and then decide honestly what is best.

Oh no, how can an uncultured white man tell us what to do? Some ragtag from the land of convicts advising the great Tendulkar? Heaven forbid!
